So can any Ron Paul supporter answer this question?

The Ron Paul supporters know that the votes in the primaries are just an illusion. It's the delegates that choose the candidates not the primary voters. So if you want to win the nomination you have to win the delegates so you go after the delegates not the voters.

Understand now?

The gaping hole in the Ron Paul delegate strategy is that he has far less than needed to be the nominee for a reason -more people voted for Romney.

There's nothing that's going to undo this now.

RP fans are making him look bad be coming across as hopelessly delusional.

Please go and learn about the delegate process before insulting a group of people that obviously knows the delegate process better than you do.

You are absolutely right.. he doesn't get it.
He, like so many other trolls in these threads, get all upset and go on about Paul supporters conspiring against the voters and undermining the democracy they believe we live in. In reality a large group of people are playing by the rules and acting against a government forcing democracy and mob rule on us in the true nature of a republic. People who care about their country doing everything they can to set it right. All Paul supporters want to to do is have the government meddling in our private lives as little as possible.. I don't understand what isn't to like.

OP doesn't understand that this isn't a democracy it's a republic. The founding fathers hated democracy because it allows the leaders to stay in power by manipulating the ignorant masses just as Romney supporters have been manipulated. They actually think that large amounts of uneducated, empty votes, should rule over the minority that are involved and working for everyone. How fair is that? The 51 percent screws the 49 percent.. that is exactly what this movement is trying to put an end to.

There is one thing to consider about the delegate strategy that no one is thinking about... The Electoral College.

It is absolutely entirely possible for Ron Paul to win the nomination in Tampa by this strategy, continue as the GOP candidate for President and actually defeat Obama in the popular election in November and have the Electoral College vote in Romney.

How you might ask? The GOP of each state sends the Electors to the Electoral College (provided they win the state that is or isn't split like Colorado). The Electors can vote for whomever they choose. In fact, they can even vote for Obama if they wanted to do so.

And for the final check and balance to the whole affair, Congress has to confirm the Electoral College results with the Supreme Court on standby, just in case Congress has a problem.

Not to be a wet blanket or an anti-Paul guy here, but winning Tampa doesn't make Ron Paul any closer to the White House than he currently is. Because there are still other hurdles for him to overcome.

What so you want them to admit they're going to go against the PTB so that the PTB can remove them and replace them with people that are going to vote against Ron Paul I think not, these delegates are actually smart if they admitted they were going to go with Ron Paul then something would magically happen and somebody would step in and take their place.

Thats why they're waiting till the last minute question answered, there won't be any time left to do anything when they're all at the convention already and everybody switchs to Ron Paul's side out of nowhere. There is going to be total chaos the PTB won't know what to do.
