I'm not sure I would call that an illusion. If you had a moving square with the corners obscured it would look, exactly like that.

while the boxes are on the screen, try focusing on just one white line, it'll become apparent that it's definitely not a box rotating

thats a cool illusion, your eyes brain are combining the 2 movements together....it's not just that the corners are covered in the first part........still really cool
