Anyone watch the 2012 (IBJJF) World Championships?

I don't expect many to be familar with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, but its growing quickly, and it's not just a sport but a very applicable form of self defense.


If you watched yesterdays semi final's you would have seen the Marcus Almedia "Busesha" versus Rudolphio Veira match, which may have been one of the most epic matches in history:

Being a purple belt in BJJ I have the highest respect for it. When I watch UFC or other MMA fights, my friends get bored when it hits the mat, I get interested. Unless it's just a boring wrestler holding the opponent to the mat.

I'm purple as well.

I didn't think there would actually be another bjj guy on ATS, let alone a purple belt.
