Yep, and maybe someone will get what they hoped for?

"2012-06-07

BREAKING NEWS 2pm, The divers are now down and investigating the circle and reports from the ship say they are really amazed. There is definitely something unusual hiding at the seabed – a Mystery Beneath. More information and pictures will be released next week."

www.oceanexplorer.se...

I've been saying it from the very beggining this is a UFO, there's a layer of sediment over it because most likely it dug itself down deep in the seabed at high speed and is resting underneath all that muck.

It's a shame the expedition didn't bring a magnetometer, they could have confirmed whether the object was made of metal.

not not small, chances are very very high imo.

Care to elaborate why?

In my opinion, if there was something, all world agencies would be already there long time ago, for many reasons including national security (if UFO) ....

Maybe they decide that it's time for us to know, that and it'll give them a good excuse to start making more weapons due to the threat of alien invasion so it's not necessarily a lose-lose situation.....

As powerful as these government intelligence agencies are they aren't god, they are human and make mistakes just the same.

Just found another update (sorry if this has already been added to the thread somewhere)
OceanX Team Update

Yesterday, the OceanX team made an unexpected trip back to shore to stock up on more supplies before resuming their adventure. A local Swedish man (Morgan Andersson) who has been following the exploits on Facebook and lives nearby, came accross the ship “Ancylus” docked in Norrtälje harbour.

With photo proof

According to Andersson, he spent time chatting with some of the crew who seemed glad to be back on dry land for a while. On hearing the news, frenzied Facebook users encouraged him to find out as much as he could, and so after talking with various crew members it became obvious that they were not up for talking about what they had found.

Understandable, considering the interests by which they are bound.

Meanwhile the group’s Facebook page went into meltdown overnight as it’s membership surged by a few thousand people. Frustratingly, the rapid influx of newbies making pointless postings and going over old ground has derailed what was a very cohesive group. The newbies were also joined by a seemingly endless procession of trolls peddling incorrect information from various blogs looking for sensationalist headlines.

Surely, nobody on here is guilty of this... Right!

The facts again.
There are THREE objects of interest – the main circular anomaly, a smaller secondary object like a “Gothic church window” 200 metres away and a 90ft high and 900ft wide rock outcrop with a crack running through it some 1500 metres South. The team have stated they are not really interested in the second anomaly, although the reason for this is unclear, given that it may be a fragment of the main anomaly that broke off on impact.
The objects lie in 80-85 metres depth of water. Visibility is 2-3 feet maximum.
The object is 60 metres (approx 200ft wide) roughly equivalent to the wingspan of Boeing 747.
The main circular anomaly is not a rock formation.
Russian and US Navy ships are NOT looking for the object, nor are they blocking the OceanX team – this is unsubstantiated rumour.
The annual BALTOPS operation has nothing to do with the OceanX exploration.

"broke off at Impact"?!?! Wonder if those were the words of the crew members. Dunno.
"The Circular Anomaly is NOT a Rock Formation"!!
"Russian and US Navy Ships are NOT Looking for the Object"!!

"The team’s website has been close to useless where updates are concerned, with many people resorting to contacting the TV documentary offices out of frustration in an effort to find out more."

If it was something sensational, it would be already on news... they would not risk of someone ruin their find.

Not sure why, but my skepticism just had huge rush regarding this expedition and x-team. (or x-man)...

Latest on the Baltic Sea UFO picked up on sonar by Swedish treasure hunters

Update June 12, 2012

the Ocean X Team’s Facebook page, which has seen a lot of non-moderated activity in the last couple of days. Moderators stepped in quickly today though when a local long-time professional marine archaeological diver — a resident of Norrtälje, where the Ancylus is moored — posted a picture of her son on the Ancylus bridge together with a comment that read along the lines of “no no, the anomaly is surely not a UFO.”

It is some type of rock formation.

Just as I said, better not to expect much....

There is still chance of some underwater settlement, but at this point - very slim chance...

Just checked the link you provided. Pretty good analysis. From the sonar images provided, which were different from the ones previously posted on ATS, show what looks like the work of glaciers. The seafloor material was described as what is commonly referred as glacial till. It also looks like the anomaly in question was previously a rock formation that had the top of it removed by most likely a glacier. Those are very common geological happenings.

I was absolutely wishing that there was something there but I think it was pretty conclusive evidence that there is nothing there. Besides, this is not the usual fare for Explorer X. No 100 year old champagne bottles inside of UFO's. Well at least normally there is not, me thinks.

Perhaps you should pay more attention to what the team actually said about their findings so far before theorizing from the depths of your armchair. Their latest update (June 12) refutes your hypothesis by stating categorically that "The main circular anomaly is not a rock formation."

I watched the video multiple times now but i am unable to correlate those rocks shown in any way to the object on the sonar. I also have problems since there is no indication about sizes of those rocks.

If visibility was only a few feet (as has been told)..and the "object" is 60m in diameter..those rocks as seen in the video seem to be only small stones not far away from the camera?

No idea...don't shoot the messenger
It seems as though the pic of the smaller stones is but a small part of the whole. Its a rock formation not a UFO unfortunately
at least according to the above article...still no word from the official crew yet.

From the news story posted on the other thread .

When they swim further, they see several rock formations. - It looks almost like a pearl necklace or that someone has tried to make a fireplace with an inch-sized rocks on the ocean floor. The furnace-like rock formations on top of that which constitutes the large circle that was discovered with a scanner tool last year. Divers images shows that the circle in turn consist of several blocks formed by "rolls" or "mushrooms" that is attached to each other, forming the circle. Overall, the object is 60 meters long and about as wide. - When we had swum across the object, we get to the weird thing. Then it's like someone has pinched the mountain at the edge, as if you have breathed together two molds, and it sticks out between stone formers, said Stefan Hogeborn.

Expressen has let Martin Jakobsson, a professor of marine geology and geophysics at the University of Stockholm, see an image from the dive. - There is probably some kind of sandstone. When you look at the structure, it looks like it, he says.
