the origins of the word yhwa are a mystery indeed as one hebrew scholar pointed out the word is used in other cultures all meaning earth trembling some even speculate that it was a volcano that some were worshiping .then again the sinei peninsula does not have any volcanos . the caucasus does he also added / russian after hebrew maybe thats why the first edition of his book was burned in 1950 he was spot on in a few of his theories immanuel velikovsky

that's kind of weird. they burned his book, must not have liked what he had to say. maybe they were like ultra religous and they thought it was heresy, wouldnt be the first time. I thought it was supposed to be the hebrew acronym or tetragrammaton for jehova or yahweh. but i guess that still doesn't explain everything haha.

Circumcism was so they would think twice about where they would put their willy.

The practice was first used by Abraham who promised offspring as numerous as the stars...
...and from this nation would come the Messiah.

If they were careful about who they bred with it would elimate the risk of breeding Nephyl.

Male, female, it's all mutilation and absolutely unnecessary.
Why torture a baby/child?
And anyone who talks about health benefits for a boy is trying to lessen their guilt - they did it for mere fashion.
And if the child wants to get a piercing at age 12 - the parents have no moral authority to stop them. They started the mutilation style.

Writing a phone number with ink on your hand could be considered 'mutilation'...
...but it may serve to remind you of an important appointment...
...the cutting of a foreskin once served as a powerful reminder to not stick your dick into anything that would divert your cultural/natural/national purpose.

I think it a very fitting symbol.

What a ridiculous, pathetic strawman argument.
Writing a phone number on your hand, unless you do it with a tattooing machine, is not mutilation.

By your argument, cutting your foot off would be useful way to remind yourself to not stub your toe.
