Hello,
My name is Mary and I live in the state of New Hampshire. Right now we have a lot going on in politics.
I was sent to this site when I recently goggled a search about "floride in drinking water". The question was on our primary ballot to remove or not to remove the floride from our public drinking water.
What I read here opened my eyes.
Anyhow I started looking around the site and wanted to become a member. Lots of good stuff!

Thanks for the welcome! Loved the "red carpet treatment".

Well hello! Hey... I've always had a question about New Hampshire... why are there giant liquor stores on the I95 thruway? What's up with that?

New Hampshire as a state has, if not the, very close to the lowest tax burden in the United States. There is, for example, no income or sales tax. The generate income the State runs liquor stores, because of the sheer bulk of the ordering they are able to give very deep discounts on liquor. There is no beer here, just wine and spirits. Because of these discounts and the geographical advantages of being the only route between two of the nation's highest taxed states, they get a lot of business. Effectively functioning as the source for liquor for a good number of Massassachutts residents and almost evey Mainer that needs to travel by car anywhere else in the country. By providing a great deal on vice to the populations of at least three states New Hampshire also provides a great service to its citizenry. Therefore, they position their largest stores in very convenient access points, i.e. the interstates.

Welcome Mahree.
