All of this talk of Iran troubles me, it surprises me how many people even on this forum still think that it'd be justified to go into Iran and remove their nuclear capabilities on the basis that they 'might' be producing weapons, with no evidence to support the theory whatsoever.

Iran, despite what people think is actually quite a developed nation of peoples and they sure as hell do not want war with anyone in the middle east, or any part of the world for that matter. Let's not forget that Iran has not been involved in offensive conflict with any other nation for the last 2 centuries! How many conflicts has the western world, the part of the world that has actually got NUKES started within the last 2 centuries?

In fact one of the most recent conflicts Iran had to face involved Iraq exactly one year after Saddam Hussain was installed as the President of Iraq by the CIA. in 1953, the Iranian people overthrew the Prime Minister of Iran at the time who was installed by British and US intelligence agencies which eventually led to the overthrow of the crown in 1979 in the Iranian revolution; finally having enough of the west dictating the peoples future by proxy of authoritarian manipulative puppets.

Iran is a very important country for the West since it has rather large oil supplies and it is in a strategic position within the middle east since it borders with both Russia and China.

As the people of Iran have defied western rule for the last 50 years, it is no wonder TPTB are still interested in it. The whole WMD thing is just another bogus attempt to get people's opinion on side to justify another war. We only need to take a look at the evidence that our governments produced for Iraq back in 2005 to understand that it is all BS propaganda. Remember the pictures of the aluminium tubes? Holy cow pat, they definitely probably have nukes, right!?!

The only reason the West does not want nations like Iran to have nukes is so obvious I can't believe people can't see it. The whole point of nuclear weapons is that they act as a deterrent; if nations like Iran had nukes then it'd put a stop to western militarisation in the middle east and war overnight. The West would then have major trouble projecting their power on eastern nations and indeed the price of oil. This would as a consequence allow eastern countries to begin trading oil commodities in other currencies than the United States dollar (which Iran has recently started doing, I might add). We'd then most likely witness history repeating itself with a re-enactment of the fall of Rome as the west implodes in on itself.

In the end, it's all about keeping the western economy floating at the expense of living standards in just about every other part of the world. Times are changing and the balance of power is haemorrhaging from the West.

Well, in two differing opinions, the objective truth (supposing such a thing does exist...without getting too philosophical)...in two differing opinions, the truth generally exists somewhere in between.

I mean, not gonna go out on a limb and totally say "Yeah, we're Satanists", but if I were Satan and I ran a country, I suppose I would invade and kill and stifle peaceful democratic, students', farmers', and freedom movements of any kind...and, coincidentally, that seems to be the U.S.'s modus operandi.

So, I could see how, metaphorically, we could be referred to as a "Great Satan", though I seriously doubt that the Islamic Republic of Iran would have treated, say, El Salvadoran Mayan peasants or Brazilian social democratic youth movements much differently than the CIA did...

All this Iran talk is rather moot considering the news today that by 2020 60% of all naval assets are to be moved to the Asia Pacific theatre.

Like I said, Iran is a militarily strategic country bordering both China and Russia, so it is hardly moot. If anything this raises more alarm bells.

It's another countries choice to allow or disallow what they want, not for Americans to decide for another, nor should any other country decide it as well..

All this should do, is "wake one up" to the potential for trouble, and simply move on with their life, with the understanding that Another country has a different set of values then ours, and one should be prepared for a "possible" incursion at a later date..

The latest advancements in cyber warfare are decreasing a war with Iran everyday now for the past 4 years there has been war being shot with 1's and 0's.

The war they apparently want and are afraid of most likely will never happen probably the asset move makes that more likely to be true.
