Will Europe Help America In WW3? Should They?

China has an eye on living space and mineral and oil reserves in Siberia. If I were Australian I would be more worried about China deciding they want physical mineral rights in Western Australia rather than just the written agreements they have with Australia now. Be more likely they they nuke Perth and decide the Western half of the continent is theirs, than start a fight with America.

I am definately no genius....but I'm no simpleton, I think.

I base my opinion on my own experience of living through part of The Cold War where the threat of MAD was with us on a daily basis and through reasoned consideration of other relevant factors.

The fact that they didn't nuke each other then suggests that they are hardly going to do so now.
The evidence is there in the history books and the very fact that we aren't living in a nuclear winter now.

What I said was, currently China is more a threat to Russia, than she is to the US. Wars are fought over resources and territory. Wars are also about logistics. Russia borders with China, and she has lots of land and resources.

Why would China want to nuke the valuable property on the coasts of America? How would she follow up? I can promise you the heartland of America is not something to trifle with. If she wanted to destroy the US, better to nuke middle America and leave the coasts. Your not much on strategy are you?

The rogue nations are the ones that will use Nukes, they are interested in war for spite. China is much smarter than that.

Quite noticeably and maybe tellingly you fail mention The Blitz and all the bombing raids on the UK or what about Guernica etc?

It seems like you are. Shame on you.
One does not make the other ok.
But you know as well as I do that the war was done when Dresden,Nagasaki and Hiroshima took place. There was no need. The Germans were broken,the japanese were broken. Those three acts were discpcable. I especially hated learning about Dresden. That was the weakest act in the history of the world. Dresden is number one. It made me physically sick seeing a doco on it. ( and no I have not just seen a doco ) . The Dresden thing was the worst.

You have not studied the occultic and mystical components of the Western govt.I believe major preparations for war and genocide are underway. Muslim world , Western people,Chinese,indo-pak zone will gravely suffer in the next 10-15 years.

Many people do hate Americans and I accept that. I have met many Brits and Aussies that were great people and have spent many hours in good natured ribbing with them. All people are arrogant about their nation in some way, it is called national pride and isn't always a bad thing.

Australia wants to sit it out in the next war? Cool, I am sure we can manage without the three battalions she would provide. It would actually help the US a lot if we cut ties with all nations and isolated ourselves.

Simple really, our military is the most experienced in the world right now. Our gear is better and we have more war stock than we need. Isolating our nation would allow us to buy and manufature our own products (like we used to before we started trying to build other national economies).

If we simply turned our back on everyone for 20 years, several things would happen:

1) American industrial infastructure would be the worlds strongest
2) world opinion of America would change
3) China would be broke within six months of us closing our borders
4) China's population would be around half a billion if we stopped feeding them


I really am confused about the angst you have against America. Every Aussie I have ever met were some of the nicest people. Very friendly and very outgoing. But I have never met one that wanted to be Chinese so maybe that is where you differ.

The whole "soldiers think they are better' and "I'd enlist if there was a war I believed in" crap is silly. No sane person "believes" in a war. There are ALWAYS better options. As strange as it sounds, sometimes war is simply the most humane option to be had. If we went to war with China (which we won't), we can either fight their soldiers or starve their civilians. Which is worse?

America has a huge trump card and we would never use it and that is our downfall. We should stop trade with china, ALL trade. Then in the aftermath we should stop trade with ANY nation that supports her. But that would be inhuman in the extreme and we cannot use food as a weapon.

I'll gladly discuss events and the rights or wrongs surrounding Nagasaki and Hiroshima in a thread devoted to that subject, if ever a topic deserved a thread to itself it's that.

It's just very noticeable that you fail to include Germany's bombing of London and other British cities and the significant loss of civilian life well before any German cities were bombed.

Debate is fine, but you've got to remember that people don't know your personality and we lose a lot of sensory information through the computer, people can't see your facial expressions, body language, tone of voice, microexpressions etc... Sometimes when we have to rely on prose alone, things can get misconstrued without the normal context clues. Ha! I know you are trying to insult our proud awesome military but you are right. We make little difference at the end of the day. You dont need us. We dont need you. Our Military is the hardest on the planet but you are right,small numbers. We still rank well amongst nations though.
