To spy on cows...was this posted before?
Sorry if it was.

"A bipartisan group of Capitol Hill lawmakers is pressing EPA Director Lisa Jackson to answer questions about privacy issues and other concerns after the agency used aerial surveillance to monitor livestock operations over their home state of Nebraska.

The letter asks nearly two-dozen questions including why the inspections are being conducted, how many flights have occurred and whether they have resulted in any enforcement activities.

“Nebraskans are rightfully skeptical of an agency which continues to unilaterally insert itself into the affairs of rural America,” Smith added.

The Environmental Protection Agency uses aerial surveillance across a swath of the Midwest know as Section 7 – which includes Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri — and has defended the practice as cost-efficient.

Cost isn’t the issue, as the EPA surely knows. What they’re doing using spy planes over the US, for what purpose, and what are they doing with the information they’re gathering — that’s the issue. "

Are they monitoring the level of radiation from the Fukushima fallout and its effects on livestock? Maybe the EPA has a military faction operating under its tutelage. Maybe they're saying 'livestock' when they really mean 'domestic terrorists'. You know, the sheep analogy and all.

My two cents.

In Missouri they are looking for that illegal drug we don't talk about on here, that is grown. At least that is the cover story. It is also possible they are looking for 'training facilities'.

Probably they are looking at animal waste run off. There are large 'factory style' livestock operations in the states you mention. Chickens, Turkeys, Pigs and Cattle. Now they also have 'factory' milk production where as many as 300 cows are rotated in milk production. There are streams, rivers and creeks the EPA is charged with monitoring and keeping free of pollution. There was some bad jokes around here at one time saying that the cows were going to have to wear diapers. Given the antibiotics and other drugs/hormones given to our meat while it is alive, might be a good idea to keep all that out of the water.

Can't believe this thread hasn't gotten more responses.

There is absolutely no reason for the EPA to have drones, and the only reason to have a drone to see what people are doing and kill them.

Farmers have made the "you might be a terrorist list".

Absolutely ridiculous.
