Brand new religion better than any other ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so lets play a game... We are going to start a new religion and get rich. probably not but it will still be the best because its ours haha. Ok so lets name our new god Oneandonly. So ok lets get this going Oneandonly created the universe hmm in the blink of an eye and with no rest because he was omnipotent. After that he created all living things right after the initial creation blink ended. He made these creatures able to change over time because he was cool like that. He just Kinda chilled as all these things grew and changed and he thought it was pretty sweet and all. Then one of his creature became man which he had been waiting for because he is omnipotent and meant for man to eventually be created as he knew they would eventually fall. Anyway Oneandonly thought this was pretty awesome and decided to just hang back and watch. Then one day he figured he would come and...

Ok so lets keep going with this thing until we are rich...

I think that you have to be a bit clever to invent a successful religion.

You might want to find and read L Ron Hubbard's The Brainwashing Manual.

I am not joking. That book really exists. It provides valuable insight into how he started the cult of Scientology.

Timothy Leary's How To Start Your Own Religion is also a good source...

If you want to get as many sheeple to join and give you money you have to instill some fear in them and get them to believe that if they don't join then a terrible fate awaits them.

Then once you lure them in you have to close all the exits. Say if they leave the faith then they've used up their only chance and can't re-convert again later.

Tie their eternal well-being to how much they do for the promotion of the religion. Giving more money = better afterlife rewards. Winning converts = way better afterlife rewards.

If they aren't sure whether to believe you're telling the truth, use Pascal's Wager. If we're wrong we have nothing to lose, but if we're right we have everything to gain.

If they still insist on seeing evidence so they can make sure it's really true, characterize their intellectual honesty as evil. Tell them the only right way to join is to "just believe". That way you have no obligation to show the claims of your religion to be true.

Make the rich feel guilty for being rich, that way they give you more money.

Last of all make them feel like they shouldn't take any time to think about it, because they "could die at any moment" and must act now. Instill a sense of urgency.

This is the tried and true approach to creating a successful religion.

Well this is exactly why we are going to do a group creation here. That way it has perspectives from a broad group of people lol everyone just keep adding something to it not offering advice

Make sure you make facts that are AMBIGUOUS AS POSSIBLE so you can modify in the future in case something changes.
