Go ahead and add this one to the list. Just the latest in cannibal zombie apocalypse news.

I wonder if we can get a grasp on whats really going on here.

www.nzherald.co.nz...

A US college student has told police he killed his roommate, cut up the body and ate part of the victim's brain and his whole heart, according to US media reports.

Alexander Kinyua of Baltimore, Maryland, was arrested on Tuesday after police searched his house following the discovery by his brother of the victim's head and hands, the Baltimore Sun reported.

Kinyua, a 21-year-old student at Morgan State University, confessed on Thursday to murdering and dismembering his roommate, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, and then eating parts of his brain followed by his entire heart, the Sun said.

The motive was unclear, but Kinyua was charged with first-degree murder yesterday.

The grisly murder caps an especially gruesome week of crimes in North America.

Interpol has launched a manhunt for a Canadian porn star suspected of dismembering his boyfriend and making a video of the murder, while a young man in Miami was shot dead on Saturday as he gnawed off the face of a homeless man.

What a beautiful world we live in. O.o I don't know exactly what these recent events say about our culture, but, whatever it is isn't good. This is not natural human behavior. Even the most depraved person does not do these things. Something is going on, I just cannot tell what...

Freaking zombies man. Bath salts my voluptuous white ass. This is how every zombie movie starts. Am I get old and missing out on the new trend of eating people/throwing intestines? Is this like Tebowing?

For the prosecuting attorney this case will be a no brainer.
I hope he drank red wine and not white with the heart.

It's not that occurrences like this are anything new, they are just being highlighted now.
Crazy serial killers do messed up things like this fairly often. Ask the NYPD.

Well heres the wikipedia page for cannibalism. I guess we should all read up on it. Not sure if it helps explain anything though.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't see a trend so much as I see a re-focus on the news.

Decades ago, this kind of story was not open to discussion. Focus was on world events, local events, not the intense focus on one story or even one type of story.

We "parse" so much these days. We over-analyze, we look at factors that really have no bearing in the matter.

Topics like this one were taboo years ago. It wasn't discussed in polite company. But with the media desensitising our moral inhibitors, it's almost become a sport to see what can "out-gross" the leading story.

Interesting nontheless.

You are right on this one.

It makes me wonder what the REAL motive is behind highlighting these occurrences now? What new laws, bills, actions will follow so as to protect all of us from the monsters?

I'll bet there's a reason we just aren't seeing right yet.

And of course there will be those that believe the Govt. is randomly testing some new form of drug, brain washing etc.

Actually at this point, nothing is going to surprise me.

Peace

Heres what Im thinking. Maybe people are struggling. Maybe its so bad for some people they are resorting to cannibalsm. I don't know it's a shot in the dark but from the wikipedia page heres a modern day account from wwII but could it really be that bad? These people were POW's.

Later following the German surrender in January 1943, roughly 100,000 German soldiers were taken prisoner of war (POW). Almost all of them were sent to POW camps in Siberia or Central Asia where, due to being chronically underfed by their Soviet captors, many resorted to cannibalism. Fewer than 5,000 of the prisoners taken at Stalingrad survived captivity. The majority, however, died early in their imprisonment due to exposure or sickness brought on by conditions in the surrounded army before the surrender.[105]

I tend to agree. Gruesome things have been going on since the first human got pooped out of a monkey (I'm a scientist). Years ago things like this probably wouldn't have been focused on outside of a police blotter. Now that everyone has raging zombie fever, and the news sites know it will whip up some quick hits, they seem to be looking to post stories like this.

First off, please don't talk over my head, I don't know these technical terms. (I lol'd !)

Second, who wants to bet on a Dexter/cannibalism-type show on HBO next season?

Any takers?

Three years ago, the panic was over swine flu. This cannibalism thing is another swine flu to the media. If its zombies, we are ready. But I'm telling you it's all a trend in the news to scare us into listening.

Since it's a conspiracy theory site... may as well throw this in:

Students familiar with Kinyua said he was well known around campus but regarded as odd. Jasmine Bloomfield said he was "always in his own little world, preaching everywhere he went and talking about how he was writing a book."

The online plea said, "In order to get him the best defense possible, we need to secure an attorney who will take his case and leave no stone unturned."

It also stated that a fundraising event was scheduled at the International Christian Community Church in Baltimore. The church was locked Thursday afternoon, and nobody answered a knock on the door.

Well folks, this is not new, although there seems to be a strange cluster of events going on lately. Regardless, THIS book about Armin Meiwes, who advertised for a victim who wanted to be eaten, on the internet, connected with such a person, and went through with it, truly disturbed me. Do not read this book unprepared, there are very, very disturbing things in the content. Probably the most disturbing to me, was the agreement between the persons involved, and the degree to which they communicated whilst both parties were both living, during which what was consented to. Part of the cannibalism was done by both parties. Fair warning: It is a VERY graphic book, sad, sick and horrid.

That. . . . um. . . . . could describe me.
