Thats not even the disconcerting part.. there were other attack and apparently 2 people died but it took them a while to figure out that they didn't just die but were strangled .. and then they found the woman (who was also a patient) did it. they also had another 'suicide' as well..
So that 4 deaths and 1 suspect.. all at the same hospital.. how that does not warrant a police investigation I will never understand.

Police have ruled the death a suicide and the hospital has ordered an internal investigation. The coroner’s office also has called an inquiry.
Jeremiah Haughee went on a 'zombie rampage' on Saturday morning, according to the St. Augustine Police Department. Two men said they were asleep when they heard someone destroying their lawn furniture, then climbing on their roof before leaping onto a truck and denting the hood. When the men came out of their house, Haughee jumped them and bit one in the stomach. Police were called to the scene about 4:30 a.m. to find a naked Haughee being restrained by the two men outside their home, the arrest report said.

It's an interesting theory as to why rabid animals bite. Probably no way to prove it validity as well all know we can't exactly ask a rabid animal why it bites- but I thought I would post it anyway.

Bioterrorism is a very high risk in the current worldwide political environment. Bioterrorism poses a great risk to national security, can be easily transmitted and disseminated, result in high mortality, have potential major public health impact, may cause public panic, or require special action for public health preparedness.
Bioterrorism is terrorism by intentional release or dissemination of viruses, bacteria, or other germs (agents) used to cause illness or death in people, animals, or plants. A number of high-priority Category A agents, including Anthrax, Smallpox, Botulinum toxin[BOTOX], Bubonic plague, Viral hemorrhagic fever, Tularemia; as well as a variety of Category B and C agents that may be engineered for mass dissemination because of their availability, are easy to produce and disseminate, or may possess high mortality or a major health impact. These agents are typically found in nature, but it is possible that they could be changed to increase their ability to cause disease, make them resistant to current medicines, or to increase their ability to be spread into the environment. Biological agents can be spread through the air, through water, or in food. Terrorists may use biological agents because they can be extremely difficult to detect and do not cause illness for several hours to several days. Some bioterrorism agents, like the smallpox virus, can be spread from person to person and some, like anthrax, cannot.
So to survive, viruses must adapt or evolve, changing its surface proteins enough to trick the host cell into allowing it to attach.
One of the big factors in the mutation rate of viruses is population density, said Brown.
Many genetically similar animals are kept in one place, and their similarity leaves them susceptible to the same diseases.
