First since Bush: Half of all voters trust GOP on economy

For the first time in five-and-a-half years, half of all likely voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats on the economy, the number one issue in the upcoming fall election, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll.

What’s more, Rasmussen said Thursday, the GOP is trusted more than Democrats on six of 10 major issues: economy, national security, the war in Afghanistan, immigration, taxes and health care.

washingtonexaminer.com...

This will make some heads explode considering how much "love" the GOP get's on this site.

I find this rather interesting and it maybe a precursor to the 2012 election if this poll is to be true it's just shows how much the current administration is in trouble.

Harking back to Bush 1 the most famous "It's the economy stupid " that lost Bush the election, and the most important thing to Americans is right now is a job, and Americans value what is in their wallets more than empty rhetoric which has left millions in worse shape than they have ever been, but of course some people are going round saying everything is just all fine and dandy, but the poll doesn't reflect it.

Now on the other hand:

The Democrats are trusted more only on the issues of Social Security and education

Which can easily be explained why the current Potus has been trying to bribe students and seniors just really depends who believes who more.

2012 gonna be closer than most think right now and it can easily go to either side and anyone who becomes complacent most likely will be defeated.

What's not to trust?

It's amazing how easily one can funnel money away from the American people..

Run around and topple governments, sheriff in town.

Allow for a market to burst, that was of design...

Put a president in who seemingly doesn't give two kittens about the economy, and just wants people to be eat, have shelter, and survive.

Then paint him in an unfavorable light, push for capitalism... while more and more reach the bottom, inspiring some work ethic and wanting more for you can't bounce till you hit the ground.

I wonder how high the ball will bounce this time with a GOP nation..

it's the ole... bring em down, kick em around, and lift them off the ground(not that it's not in every American to do so themselves)

Either way... there could be an awesome story line that emerges from all this.

Well apparently the Democrats have lost "trust" and the Gop has gained some.

I think the dates are wrong. Looks more like 2009-2012

How does this look ??

Why did Bush & Co. work hard to get to 4.4% unemployment ?
Why would they do that and then blow the whole deal ?
Answer: maybe He had a gun to his head.
Remember .... Congress was infiltrated by Ultra Liberals starting in January 2007...
and continuing onward
