The thing is, BO that Humans are prideful creatures full of a million and one biases.

No one wants to look like a fool, and almost all of us think we are right (and this is also one of the great barriers to true understanding).

If I was able to get a sample of the top 1% of the most gullible, least critical thinking people on the planet and I asked them if they thought they were critical thinkers, I'd be willing to bet that a strong majority of them would respond that yes of course they are, that their critical thinking skills are usually described as above average etc etc.

It's actually very difficult to look inwardly with true objective fairness - but it is only when we do so that we are really able to achieve true intellectual growth.

Much agreement.

However, you could ask 3,000 students how much critical thinking I demonstrated routinely.

I think you'd be shocked.
