Fox & Friends airs its own four-minute anti-Obama attack ad

Fox News aired a video that highlights Obama's "Hope & Change" boondoggles (imo).

The liberal Media issued some interesting responses and rebuttals.
(many of which seem weak as usual imo)

Fox & Friends on Wednesday morning unveiled a four-minute advertisement that attacked President Barack Obama, which was created by Fox News associate producer Chris White.

“Lets talk a little bit about what the campaign slogan used to be for Obama, when he was a candidate,” Fox & Friends co-host Gretchen Carlson said before airing the video. “Remember, it was hope and change. The President said that he is still using that slogan in the way in which he hopes to get four more years. So we decided to take a look back at the President’s first term to see if it lived up to hope and change.”

The Fox & Friends ad implied that Obama was responsible for a $5.7 trillion increase in the national deficit, an increase in unemployment, an increase in the number of people on food stamps and rising gas prices. The liberal watchdog group Media Matter disputes all those claims.

It seems however that the show was not "authorized" !!!

Update: Fox News pulls video, says it was ‘unauthorized’

Fox News has pulled the video below from its website, issuing a statement by network vice president Bill Shine that explains the segment was “created by an associate producer and was not authorized at the senior executive level of the network.”

It is not clear if anyone was fired for the mistake of broadcasting an elaborately produced anti-Obama propaganda reel, but the statement adds that the error “has been addressed with the show’s producers.”

“The fact that the hosts were happy with this latest video assault on the president is nothing short of revealing,” The Daily Beast’s Howard Kurtz opined.

“This is a moment of truth heading into the general election,” he wrote. “Roger Ailes should denounce the video and criticize his network’s handling of it. He should make clear that such partisan garbage has no place on Fox News. Otherwise people will assume that Fox’s worst critics are right.”

Maybe it was "authorized" and then "un-authorized" ??

The Message is Still very clear !!!

Quotes from MediaMatters:

Fox & Friends' Anti-Obama Attack Video Is Loaded With Dishonest And Misleading Claims

CLAIM: The Debt Has Increased By $5.7 Trillion Due To Obama's Policies

REALITY: The Debt Increase Over Obama's Term Is Almost Entirely Due To Bush Administration Policies

Fox & Friends Ad Suggests Obama Responsible For Increase In Debt. The video aired on the May 30 edition of Fox & Friends included clips of Obama saying that he "pledge[d] to cut the deficit in half by the end of [his] first term in office" and that "all of us need to act more responsibly on behalf of a better economic future." Following the statements, Fox & Friends aired this graphic showing the increase in federal debt over the course of the Obama administration:.....

REALITY: the claims are true !! very true !!

If "Bush did it", then MediaMatters needs to explain THIS:

Why did Bush & Co. work hard to get to 4.4% unemployment ?
Why would they do that and then blow the whole deal ?
Answer: maybe He had a gun to his head.
Remember .... Congress was infiltrated by Ultra Liberals starting in January 2007

YouTube Caption:

Hats off to Chris White -- Fox News Associate Producer, for putting together this brilliant video compilation of what the past 4 years of 'Hope and Change" has REALLY brought to this country.

You are packing too much into one OP.

First...Fox News creating electioneering advertisements...not only unethical, but potentially illegal, would change thier legal status, standing with the FCC and tax status etc. This AP was flirting with disaster, though I am sure just playing to the culture there. He probably thought he was going to get a promotion, but he might lose his job instead.

Second...then you go off on the budget, spending, deficet and start to spin? You took liberty with reality in about 4 different places there.

Not sure I want to engage in the debate, since this seems to be a ramble of various things....maybe sum up what you want posters to respond to?

I just watched the ad...I can't believe that Nancy Pelosi said:

'The only way to insure more jobs for Americans, is by increasing the funding for food stamps."

The ad was truth $5.7 trillion dollars gas is higher, food is higher, people on food stamps is higher, people out of work is higher, and after close to 4 years later where is the change?

Nowhere and that was truly rich media matters blaming Bush typical.
