why must you spread the word?
jesus said spread the gospel(good news) of love. not start a new religion and force people with fear and death to join your cult!
the gospel was meant for the backsliding jews, not the gentiles!
why do you think james kept calling paul back to jerusalem? to yell at him for teaching the gentiles, and for teaching AGAINST the gospel. paul claimed jesus was god,and this is blasphemous for a jew to think a mere man could be god!!!
jesus was a man.
God is GOD!!! final!
paul was saul,a roman.
the romans worshiped ceaser as god
saul/paul did the same with jesus. (secret roman agenda? the mithra myths sound a lot like the myths of the christ!)
sunday was the day of worship for romans to worship the sun god
saturday is the sabbath for the jews, which jesus most certainly was!
why do you worship on sunday? blame rome, they made up your whole religion!
its fake and a bunch of lies!
perhaps you should do some real research on your so called 'religion' and stop following with blind faith!

I love the way this guy spreads his Christian message. I find it hilarious to see him getting so many facts wrong:

Keep your imaginary friends to yourself... How is it helping someone by telling them that if they do not believe in Jesus they will go to hell? What if they are Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, etc? I am sure they do not want to here you tell them they will go to hell for not believing in the same fictional character as yours.. Your better off keeping it to yourself, and so is the world.

Except Christianity is not a religion, it's a relationship. I have no proof it's true? Try me. Have questions? Ask.

Except what you propse is a false dichotomy. A more reasonable choice would be that it's a religion and a relationship; albeit an imaginary one. With those awesome critical thinking skills you used a page ago, you should be able to see how you use religion to establish a "relationship" with your god.

- Religion tells you that you have a personal "relationship" with a personal God.
- Religion tells you what the relationship is like.
- Religion encourages evangalism and indoctrination. Something you do quite often in different forums.
- Religion reinforces the concept that God (Jesus) speaks directly to you; either through prayer or just whenever you hear a voice in your head.

One begets the other; you can't have a relationship without a religion. You seemingly redefine religion from the framework it's in right now so you don't have to be apart of something that doesn't fit your world view.

So, please provide your proof that you have a relationship with God. Bible quotes do not count, and any personal experience is just special pleading on your part.

I wish Christians would dump this vague and ambiguous line.

i can't believe people eat this crap up!
short story,my grandma (RIP) use to wath oral roberts on tv.
he said for a $20.00 donation,he would send her a 'prayer cloth' with his hand print on it so she could place her hand on it when he prayed,so she could 'feel'the spirit of the lord.
when this thing arrived,it was a dollar store dish rag from taiwan with a cheap 'print' of a hand, and the lords prayer.
the first time she washed it, most of the print was gone!!!
that is true sin, feeding off of the elderly for profit

That's such a useless argument - there are many people born in the middle east (who were raised Muslim and even raised in the "brotherhood" and taught to kill infidels) who become born-anew Christians. I've heard one speak of his testimony before in person - his name is Kamal Saleem. I recommend watching his testimony, if you can tolerate the preaching he does - it's a very inspiring story.

yeah and there are people raised to be christains and convert to buddhism and hinduism. and thats probably more common than a muslim converting to christainty

People like you have been spreading the so called word of God for years and years...What good has it done and what good is it going to do?

Answer: None what so ever........

So please stop the indoctrination and brain washing and believe in something real and not fantasy.......

You have probably just posted this thread just to antagonise people anyway. Isn't it sad how low people will go to get their kicks.......

Leave us alone with your nonsense.........

It’s amazing that more people post to this thread to bash Christians than Christians communicating. It makes me realize who gets bashed. Next thing you know they will be feeding us to the lions.
Welcome to the new Rome

Well people should know better than to start preaching, I personally still believe in God or a higher power (though I have no faith in the bible as it is a work of man not God which is apparent from all it's flaws and contradictions) but people are aware of Christianity and do not wish to have it constantly rammed down their throats, and the same goes for all religions and lifestyle choices. You made your choice good for you, carry it out with dignity but do not try to influence others we are perfectly able to seek out information and opinion for ourselves.
I wouldn't be surprised if this was merely a troll in the first place because anyone with any common sense knows exactly the reaction they are going to receive.

Lions? A tad dramatic, but worth considering.

Some people believe they are to preach, some believe you must testify when asked, even if it means your own death. Some people won’t become religious no matter what. Some people don’t believe the Bible and claim man flaws it. Some people believe that the all-powerful God knows how to write his book and it is how he wishes. It is also believed by Christians, that Jesus came with the update and his words and actions are then new way, not the ways of the Old Testament. No beliefs should be shoved in front of some one and expect everyone to have the same opinion. Yes, the lion scenario was a bit dramatic, but it is testimony to how the earliest Christians alive at the time believed in Jesus.
Have a Good One.

When a book claims a rapist must marry their rapee after paying her dad fro the privilege that freaks me out a little bit. If the believe they are to preach then they must be willing to accept the consequences of such, and that's what' happened here in the same way that Christians give flack to openly homosexual people or women in abortion clinics.

And you.

First off, Christianity does not equate to creationism, but I liked your prayer. Secondly, the ignorance displayed by all the Christian-bashing posters is apparent, and it's hurtful.

Of course "christians" parading around with signs like "God hates fags" isn't hurtful... right?

I realize this isn't a majority of christians that do this kind of thing...

But some people like to give what they get...

Not at all since, we are all God’s children
We are taught not to judge so; it is not up to me to judge your life stile. Making a person do anything against their will is against Christianity.
Churches are supposed to save souls, true pleasure of the flesh is supposed to be a bad thing.
However, pleasures of the flesh are in many different forms not just gender issues.
Any Christian church that makes you want to leave for having gender issues is not teaching the correct doctrine of Jesus.
Abortion is a big issue that can never be correctly defined under the law. We need to know exactly when the soul or spirit enters the body. In Iran TPTB have decided the exact day and it makes genetic embryonic testing legal
That is something I don’t believe we will never know so, I have an opinion that is not necessarily the same as anyone else.
Since the woman has the burden of caring an unwanted child the choice is hers whatever spiritual consequences are involved would also fall on herself. If the father is know he should plea a case for the child and I don’t believe that the maker would look kindly on this happening multiple times to the same woman.

I think you may be ignorant of all the slandering, demeaning, self-righteous, and spiteful remarks Christians say and post on this site. You must be the type who thinks you're [Christians] being persecuted when someone criticizes Christianity for what it really is.

It's not bashing if it's true.

Sigh
I don't understand why people don't see this is in the Religion, Faith, And Theology forums? Not in General conspiracy or Skunk Works or something else

ATS is more than just a conspiracy site it's where people can come and find individuals who have the same thought and ideas as them, maybe some just aren't in contact with many people due to work environment or their country they live in?
This is posted in the Religion, Faith, and Theology forums where we (people who have faith) can post topics and discuss them - Not for people who are atheist or agnostic to come and bother us and ask, to be frank, stupid questions.
A lot of the scripture's many of you post (Non-Believers to say) - you use them to prove your point and take it out of context in regards to everything else that's written the passage. It's quiet easy to Google "bible quotes that make no sense" pick your favorites and post them here to mock us but in realty i HIGHLY doubt you've even read any of it.
Many of you always talk about how Christians are this and that, but you're being hypocrites yourselves
If you have NOTHING nice to say please stop trolling the Religious, Faith, and Theology forums and if you want to then please don't post anything ignorant. If you have a question, SERIOUS questions why not just ask in a humane manor?

Thanks
