Remember a few days ago when we were told by Secretary Sebelius and president Obama that "reform" was working, despite appearances to the contrary?

Apparently, the Liberal, Obama supporting Reuters network can't spin the latest assessment of the imending effects of Obamacare's looming implementation:

(Reuters) - The cost of healthcare services is expected to rise 7.5 percent in 2013, more than three times the projected rates for inflation and economic growth, according to an industry research report released on Thursday.
...
The projected growth rate of 7.5 percent for overall healthcare costs contrasts with expectations for growth of 2.4 percent in gross domestic product and a 2.0 percent rise in consumer prices during 2013, according to the latest Reuters economic survey.
...
PwC's projection of 7.5 percent growth is nearly double a 3.9 percent rise in healthcare spending that the federal government says occurred in 2010, the last year for which official figures are available.

Healthcare costs to rise 7.5 percent in 2013: report

And remember the oft-touted promise that you'll get to keep your current healthcare plans?
Sorry, the Reuters study doesn't seem to say that's true anymore:

But premiums for large employer-sponsored health plans could increase by only 5.5 percent as a result of company wellness programs and a growing trend toward plans that impose higher insurance costs on workers, said the report by the professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, or PwC.
...
More than half of the 1,400 employers surveyed by the firm are considering increasing their employees' share of health benefit costs and expanding health and wellness programs in 2013, according to the report.

...[H]ealth plans with higher deductibles and co-pays for workers tend to dissuade unnecessary purchases and offer lower premium costs for employers, while successful wellness programs can reduce the need for medical services.

Who would've guessed?
How long has it been since you had annual 7.5% or 5.5% raises for 3 years in a row?

You know there's a problem when even Reuters can't find a way ro spin around their own study to favor the Liberal agenda.
If this is the best slant they can give the "study," imagine what the reality will be like!

Cracks in the Obamacare Facade: One-third of "Uninsured Americans" Disappear in One Day!

More Cracks in the Obamacare Facade: No Insurance? Can't Pay Fee? Go To Jail!

Cracks in the Obamacare Facade (III): Dems abandon claims of lower costs, deficit in "new" pitch

And those are just the ones that made it to ATS.

This is just a bunch of BULLSH#T !!!!!!

Nothing but a bunch of Chicago thugs ruining this country.

Can not believe any thing that comes from the W.H. or the MSM, being as they are manipulated by TPTB. Even the spinning on it is getting tiresome and pathetic.

Seems like every day there is more crap about the health care bill that is being revealed, and not for the good.

I've read a couple of your other threads on this subject. Please keep up the good work and keep us informed.

Creative budgeting for this monstrosity will all come to light AFTER the election. That should be a red flag for everyone. There is no way in hell to accurately forecast the cost of this 12 years down the road like they have attempted to do. I am already paying more for my insurance than ever before due to this uncertainty of this mess.

Businesses are realizing this as well because no one is applying for the credits that were touted when this thing was "sold" to the nation. 4 million companies are eligible and only 170,000 or so have dipped their toes into this mess of red tape and limitless bureaucracy

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

But a health insurance tax credit for small businesses, part of President Barack Obama's health care law that gets strong support in public opinion polls, has turned out to be a disappointment.

Time-consuming to apply for and lacking enough financial reward to make it attractive, the credit was claimed by only 170,300 businesses out of a pool of as many as 4 potentially eligible million companies in 2010.

That's put the Obama administration in the awkward position of asking Congress to help fix the problems by allowing more businesses to qualify and making it simpler to apply.

But Republicans who run the House say they want to repeal what they call "Obamacare," not change it.

"They completely missed the target on this thing," Rep. Sam Graves, R-Mo., said of the tax credit. "I don't think expanding it is going to make any difference whatsoever." Graves chairs the House Small Business Committee.

The SCOTUS will flush ObamaCare down the toilet June 29, 2012.

We need to be all ready to go with a replacement.

--------
I can hear the crazy lib Nancy Pelosi already.

" This is outrageous! The Supreme Court has taken away your health care!!!!!
"

"The conservative activist demons on the Supreme Court still have THEIR health care!

Okay, so what's the GOP solution to this health care mess?"

------
I wonder how accurate my crystal ball is?

Who in their right mind will trust employers who state that they "are considering..."

I'm considering starting on my third million dollars (first two failed) and give more than half (probably) to the first woman I meet on the streets on the first day of May next year.

Just to point it out -

Healthcare costs went up over 150% in the last 12 years.

Why you guys even considering this is beyond me. Socialized medicine in the states would bankrupt your country in a second and send businessmen fleeing..
Oh wait, thats already happening.

We came up with a remarkable alternative to ObamaCare.

It looks like it will work.

Our current system is 90% healthcare / 10% health cures. It's too expensive.

We need to flip that.

First, the point is that the promise that "You can keep your policies; keep your doctors" is absolutely false. Increased co-pays, deductibles, et c. make the lie obvious.

Second, the main selling point of Obamacare was a reduction of costs, not continued increases!

Third, since when has an estimated increase come inunder estimate?

Either you've elected to look the other way or you just do not understand what this says, coming from a pro-Obamacare source.

deny ignorance.

I posted a theory years ago (2008) elsewhere about a true alternative that has since become a realistic option to control runaway costs and the burdens on employers.

If patients were given more control of basic care and preventive care, insuring the high-risk and high-cost contingencies, it would be a different market.

This has been implemented in some places with great results. Unfortunately, it has met with tremendous opposition from the entrenched interests who profit from the current system and government regulation/control.

In addition to that we of course need - tort reform -.

Obama is in bed with the trial lawyers.

That's why it wasn't addressed.

You are entirely correct and I can vouch for this as I live in a socialist country that's going bankrupt.
The whole purpose of this system is NOT to keep as many people alive as possible. The purpose is control.
In canada our healthcare system is failing even after they have taxed gas cigarettes and other things to death and we still get sub par services. What a fking scam this is and the liberals who cheerlead the downfall of europe and the west will be noted.
We saw this coming many moons ago. Don't follow in our footsteps

I heard they make you take a number up there to be seen.

Some Canadians give up and go to Medical Tourism companies.

They fly Canadians down to Texas for heart surgery.
