Ok..
As much as this is VERY wrong, and really sad, I could not help but laugh. That's some funny and ridiculous stuff right there. I mean, my god.
Anyway, that's wrong, but perhaps I'm in a mood today, cause that cracked me up.

How do you know he was taught hate? Even if he didn't conclude on his own that nothing good can come from religion, how is this hate?

This is a prime example of the "hate" that some spew.
You wish the child would have had the chance to make interpretations on her own, yet you say you were "raised" atheist, and now you hate on religious people.
What is the difference between the "hate" that she was taught, and the "hate" that you were taught?

I take exception to your statement here
"I'm aghast that people would actually think it's ok to brainwash a 4 year old into hating gay people.
And then they all cheer the kid singing the song."
I consider it word-smithing to sway towards your comment..... It would be just as easy to point out that the child's parents instilled 'Morals' and accountability within their child's value system. The results may not please those extolling the virtue of the abhorrent behavior, but the homosexual community will never be accepted by the general public. It was only once the predominant population, in a place in the Middle East called Sodom... And look how that turned out.
Is there a scientific explanation for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah?
Yes. There is a scientific explanation for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. There has been a great deal of study and archeological research on this subject.
The five cities of the valley are recorded in the Ebla tablets as well as in the bible. The location of Sodom is believed to be Bab-edh-Dhra and Gomorrah is believed to be at or near Numeira. The other three cities would reside similarly at the mouths of wadis near the sea. Destruction debris at both Bab-edh-Dhra and Numeira has been recorded as being about three feet thick.
The region of the Dead sea is known, now and in ancient history, for its natural petroleum deposits. In the past the Romans called the sea "Lake Asphaltitus" because of the natural bitumen that would come up from deposits in the fault line beneath the lake. Bitumen is a heavy viscous oil mixture combined with sulfur and other metals, minerals and toxic chemicals. At the time of the Genesis 19 account there were "slime pits" or bitumen pits in the valley.
The Jordan Rift is an unstable area with a great deal of thermal energy as demonstrated by the hot springs on both sides of the sea. While the Dead Sea no longer shows evidence of vast bitumen deposits there are still oil slicks that rise to the surface from time to time. A great deal of evidence confirming this can be found in historical accounts.

The context is not the same.
I would hazard that the girl knew she was acting.
The little boy is going to believe that for the rest of his life until he can think for himself.
And even then I don't know if he will continue in that belief.

I'm glad to meet you. My daughter was raised atheist too. Do you know how to get her to stop being so kind, understanding, thoughtful, and helpful? I think other people are starting to notice she's "different". She thinks drag queens are pretty. I know. Any advice would be appreciated.

Ahhh churchies, gotta love em. J/k we all will get to cheer when they burn in hell. Am I wrong or are we not supposed to judge people? Wish could see their face's when the meet their maker and he throws this in their faces and sends them to be bent over and sodomized by satans pitch fork for eternity.
Poor kid those people should be charged for teaching hate to such a young mind. I really dispise organized religion. And that's saying it nicely.

If you can't even acknowledge some of the good religion has done, then you are just condemning for the sake of it.

People helping people is necessary, without socialism, and is done without religion. Religion is schizophrenia and megalomania. It's run by sociopaths. Nothing good can come from it. It is the destruction of our species.
