Yeah, I noticed the chick behind him in the red shirt. She's smiling through out his rant. What a ...."nice, loving person" wink wink

That was mad lulz. Also He could have been a little less theatrical, but I like his point. The people around him looked like they all sort of knew what he was talking about.

As many thread readers have pointed out...as noteworthy as the rant itself is the reaction from the zombies sitting around him.
Not one person in attendance showed a shred of support or encouragement to Bost.
Watch a few minutes of C-SPAN sometime. Watch a senatehouse meeting, be it state or federal. These dummies look more bored than I did in church when I was 8 years old.

That was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, and nothing I'd ever expected to see in the US Congress. If I had an American citizenship, that dude would've had my vote in the blink of an eye. We need people in positions of leadership who are passionate like that about their causes. It's less (though not IR)relevant what their causes are, to me, as long as they are passionate about it.
Too many politicians todayare mindless drones who doesn't take their work and responsibility to heart.

These are signs the State is imploding, the insiders are cracking up, simply put the "easy money" is running out and the huge welfare obligations , the promises etc aren't going to be met.
This is leading to the realization to the politicos that people are going to be seriously pissed off, and unless there's some major distraction , or an economic and political epiphany their decapitated heads are going to be bouncing around all over and the likelihood of politicians hanging from gibbets.

All the poisonous fraud and corruption is seeping out, it's stench diffusing and soon, overwhelming the sane and attentive, among us. IMHO We are coming to an economic collapse of biblical proportions.

God save America and the World.

I love it..This is what it takes to make change happen. People can't just sit idle and let the system rule how decisions are made and someone has to stand up and fight when things are just...STUPID!!!

Too bad the posters here on ATS couldn't hash out all the countries problems and send the results and polls to capital hill where they would act on them using our content. We could pick apart one of those bills and get rid of all the complicated crap that makes them expensive and hides the truth. I guess people think this pipe dream is about as irrational as they come. It Should fit right into the government than if it's that irrational.

I'm all for the method this Rep. took, but he could have been more articulate. I couldn't tell what he was even saying half the time, and when I could it didn't really makes sense. The average person is not going to identify with this rant, as evidenced by those around him.

It was in the Illinois house. If this was in the U.S. House it would be that much more amazing, but unfortunately it wasn't.

I email him as well, thanking him. His COURAGE should be applauded. His commitment to whom he represents should be applauded.

@1:04 - "Folks, we live in a Democracy"

I find it sad that even our 'representatives' have fallen for that scam

The United States of America (commonly abbreviated to the United States, the U.S., the USA, America, and the States) is a federal constitutional republic

en.wikipedia.org...

although I still give him props for defending his constituents

What I love about this is the guy sitting directly in front of him gets papers thrown all around him and doesn't even bat an eye, hes so blatantly comatose. Basically the rest of them do the same thing like when is he 90 seconds up so we can go to the next guy and get out of here.

i'll take odds that this guy doesn't get reelected.

I don't know who that guy is but I commend him for having the balls to yell at everyone on behalf of the people of Illinois. Even though I'm not in Illinois, I'm close enough. I'm in Indiana and I can tell you that we need more people like this guy to get fed up and stand up for the people they represent.

In case it hasn't been posted, his name is Mike Bost. He is a Republican Senator. If he had been a Democrat, i would have applauded him as well, but whether you like it or not, he is a Republican.

Yes, through decades of indoctrination and brainwashing Americans have been led to believe this is a democracy, but it isn't. Democracies lead to socialist dictatorships, time and again history has proven this.

Where can I get a T-Shirt with this guy's picture on it?
I'd also like to have his rant as my mobile phone's ring tone.

The only problem with Reps like these are they only get this angry when it has to do with the actions of someone from the other side of the aisle.

It just occurred to me after reading your post about Bost sounding like Moses. "Let My People Go!"
They call Southern Illinois, "Little Egypt".
Bost probably does feel a bit like Moses when it comes to the people of Southern IL being held in bondage by the politics of the upper portion of the state.
