I don't vote either way, because it's pointless. Left wing or Right wing, makes no difference it's the same damn bird. Each side pushing their own agendas that ultimately serve the shadow government behind the scenes pulling the strings. Said shadow government called the Illuminati and their Bilderberg lapdogs. All you have to do is look at the names of who funded Obama's 2008 campaign to see that both sides serve the same damned self serving people.

Wake up and stop living in their lies!

Very high black populations in many of these southern red states.

What an obnoxious and racist thing to say. Some of those Welfare Queen States also have very high populations of whites, and more whites are on welfare than blacks. If you want to play the "blame the race" game go join Stormfront where attitudes like yours will fit in perfectly.

Where are this statistics from? go find them, I'm not doing your homework for you

The article does not quote, nor foot note any statistic from anywhere.
You saying it is from proves nothing.
Further more, US.GOV does not exist. USA.GOV does, but it is a portal website. Nice try.
Care for one more attempt?

I wonder of this issue will be addressed by the mainstream media.

I doubt that they will cover this during the debates.

We middle class Americans are tired of getting the blame and being accussed of being the cause of this financial crisis.

And Blue states pay more in to the federal tax also..

Can any conservatives thank the blue states for funding their pet projects?

The myths and stereotyping from the Red/Blue state labeling is very misleading and dangerous as the conclusions one tends to draw are grossly inaccurate.

Do you know what the Gelman Paradox is?

Time to learn:

Are Welfare Recipients Mostly Republican?

From the Gelman-paradox we know that the low-income voters who drag down the Red States average tend to vote disproportionally for Democrats. Republican voters earn significantly more than Democrats, even though Red state earn less than Blue states.

Think in terms of individuals vote not states.

Share of Recipients of each program that self-identified as supporters of Republican party in 2004-2007 Maxwell Poll:
Gov. Subsidized Housing 12%
Medicaid: 16%
Food Stamps: 20%
Unemployment Compensation: 21%
Welfare or public assistance: 22%
Disability benefits from government 25%

Andrew Gelman:

Andrew Gelman is an American statistician, professor of statistics and political science, and director of the Applied Statistics Center at Columbia University.
