I noticed that the spiffy, high speed, low drag, multi time zone clock that SO added above the row of link buttons is missing.

Anyone else notice - miss this?

WTF Happened to it?

I really liked the clock.

Can we have it back, please?

I never noticed! I guess that means it was not really useful to me.

I have also noted that the speed of this site is way faster today than it has been in the last few days. Maybe this has something to do with it?

Yeah it is a bit quicker. But I guess that's all realative (cable modem)
It would be nice to have it back, but if the site works better without it... then I guess leave it gone.

BINGO! During an audit of which scripts take the longest to run/complete... the multi-timezone clock was always causing trouble. Sorrly folks... nice feature... too much CPU drag.

i don't think the clock has anything to do with the speed up, ATS was working slow because of that 3 day mass lurker visits (search on Board Questions & Business for the story)

edit: posted at the same time :bnghd: looks like i was wrong

How about bringing back the text GMT clock on the upper right? It's just a nice reference to have.

P.S. I have 3 clocks on my wall at home. One local, One GMT, and one Baghdad.
