And here's the bad news: Whatever's happening in Florida appears to be spreading. The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign tweeted the following the following warning to its students last night: "Hazardous materials released at Institute for Genomic Biology. Escape area if safe to do so. Otherwise seek shelter."
Yikes. I know some people were trowing around the idea that these cases were people hopped up on bath salts, but I am sort of doubting that. Can we please just nuke Florida?

Symptoms of rabies are not too far off the mark when you look at it
Furious rabies
Furious rabies is characterised by episodes of increasingly bizarre and hyperactive behaviour, separated by periods of relative calm. During these episodes, a person may have some, or all, of the following signs and symptoms:
aggressive behaviour, such as thrashing out or biting
agitation
hallucinations – seeing or hearing things that are not real
delusions – believing things that are obviously untrue
excessive production of saliva
high temperature (fever)
excessive sweating
the hair on their skin stands up
a sustained erection (in men)
Around 50-80% of people with furious rabies will also develop hydrophobia (a fear of water). This initially begins as a pain in the throat or difficulty swallowing. On attempting to swallow, the muscles in the throat go into a brief spasm that lasts for about five to 15 seconds. Subsequently, the sight, sound or even the mention of water (or any other liquid) will trigger further spasms.

I just can't imagine needing to get a rush so bad that I would lick a toads ass or eat a laundry detergent square?

Don't ruin this for me, I want to shoot some damn zombies. Also, you know the PD isn't going to tell us it's zombies.
And another thing: Were any of the so-called zombies dead? Were they all to a man, utterly incapable of talking, or performing complex tasks involving precise use of thier hand to eye co-ordination? Were they insensate? Did they have reams of flesh missing, holes in thier torsos, or were they missing any limbs? Zombies, as depicted by Hollywood, often show obvious signs of having passed on to the other side of the veil between our world and that of the dead, but having not quite made it out.
I live in St. Petersburg, FL. I would like to inform you all that people all over are getting sick, feeling very ill. I can't say that this is linked, however, this seems to be how it always starts in major film productions & video games
