And do NOT forget the influx of "reformed"( yeah, right, "reformed" like the neo-nazi's that stíll try to topple Germany's government) Nazi's after WW2, that have actively participated in American politics since 1945... And espècially had a big influence in the military-industrial complex. "Operation Paperclip"? Anyone?
What's next, is everyone's guess. More drones, more sabotaging, more super computer-viruses. It's the West ( including Russia&China, despite the diplomatic smokescreens) aganst The East.
A Mid East that does a pretty good job annihilating itself without much help from the West.
Iran continues to strive for a nuclear weapon since it is not convinced the West is seriously contemplating a military strike against its facilities, Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya’alon said in a conference on Wednesday, adding that Tehran was "laughing all the way to a bomb."

Seeing how the two nations have a defense treaty I am a bit surprised that it has taken the government of Iran this long to send some troops over to help there friends in the Syrian government .
Maybe I am missing something , which is very possible , but why is this news coming as a shock ?
Yes but Iran doesnt border Syria. How would they have gotten there, with every Syrian port under the watchful eyes of the west?
WASHINGTON, May 31, 2012 – In Syria, where Bashar Assad’s government continues to massacre its population, Iran is supporting the regime and members of al-Qaida are in the country for their own purposes, Pentagon spokesman Navy Capt. John Kirby told reporters today.“We remain deeply troubled and concerned by the ongoing violence in Syria and by the horrific acts of the Assad regime against its own people,” Kirby told reporters at a Pentagon press briefing.
“And we certainly have seen reports and have reason to believe that Iran continues to assist the Assad regime in committing these acts of atrocities against the Syrian people,” he added.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran and Hezbollah of being involved in the "slaughter" of civilians in Syria.
"We [see] what is happening in Syria where civilians are simply being slaughtered," Netanyahu said during Sunday's regular Cabinet meeting. "We see the horrifying pictures of children and the elderly. This is a slaughter that is being perpetrated not only by the Syrian government. Iran and Hezbollah are helping it, and today the world needs to see this axis of evil: Iran-Syria-Hezbollah -- the face of this axis of evil is fully revealed for what it is."

maybe this is real???
There seems to me to be no difference between providing funding, training and weapons, making those in Hamas and Hezbollah literally Iranian Troops and sending their Troops.
Since Syria is important to Iran to continue their backing of the destruction of Israel, why would this be odd at all I wonder? They need the current Dictator in power do they not?
As to the Iranian media, it would be most naive to not realize it is State controlled by the Theocratic Dictatorship that is Iran. No State controlled media can be trusted, can it?
I send a weapon to another person knowing it will be used in a certain way, I'm as much a part of it as the person I send the weapon to. What Iran funds it is part of.
"""The solution of the Islamic Republic to the issue of Palestine and this old wound is a clear and logical proposal that is based on political wisdom accepted by global public opinion and it has been presented in detail previously. We neither propose a classical war with the armies of Islamic countries, nor do we propose throwing Jewish immigrants into the sea or intervention of the United Nations and other international organizations. We propose a referendum among the Palestinian people. Just like any other nation, the Palestinian nation has the right to determine its own destiny and to elect its own government. All the original people of Palestine - including Muslims, Christians and Jews and not foreign immigrants - should take part in a general and orderly referendum and determine the future government of Palestine whether they live inside Palestine or in camps or in any other place. The government that is established after the referendum will determine the destiny of non-Palestinian immigrants who migrated to Palestine in the past. This is a fair and logical proposal which global public opinion understands and it can receive support from independent nations and governments.""""
But then religious fanaticism is blind to truth and very open to deceiving others for expediency when necessary. What Iran funds it is part of.
