FLAME: Largest Cyber Attack In History.

Hey, you all heard about the largest, strongest,most complex cyber attack that's going on right now?

Dubbed the "Flame", quite different from the flame the mainstream are discussing.

Its attcked Iran, Isreal and much more of the Middle East, it can infect phones, hard drives and pretty much all sofware related, to steal ANY THING it wants.

Its been in circulation from 2010 and is judged to be unstoppable for another few years.

The programme is so advanced, the odds are that * some Nation State government* is behind the attack. Iran have pointed the finger at the United States. That's yet to be confirmed, but one things for sure, its definatley causing a stir.

Looking into TinyOS some more. I find OPNET library interesting. TinyOS seems to be able to be used on anything. Radios satellites wireless wired networks virtual networks cell phones antennas. And I notice the word discrete very oftten in the descriptions of any software tied to TinyOS.

Either that or some super crazy inter-dimensional group of beings just decided to flick a few algorithms here, plug a few in there, and then astral projected out of that channel before they got caught.

Its interesting Israel is being affected by it though, does this mean we can rule Israel out of being behind the Stuxnet attack?

I personally hope its an independant group, on "our" side, if that doesn't sound to far fetched? OWS/Wikileaks/Wikispooks/and other independant groups sure have peaked in support, intellect and donations... Either that, or its the US, or mabe one of the Commies? The only alternatives other than that are a new *unknow* state, that's working beneath the radar, or.. Aliens lol.

If its sattelite based tho, it can't be far from the west...

If you read about TinyOS with nesc you will find it can't be total removed without shuting down for long periods of time till they time out and delet. And Siemens controllers have already solved this themselves with blocking the virus working by using a neighbor check to make sure they are all working the same. This is the same detection used on TinyOS. Match two or more of the same controllers and make sure they all match each other. Virus check. But if you find a piece you will have a hard time finding it all because the software breaks apart into tiny pieces and scatters all over but is still able to work as if it was in one place. And can can except any kind of input or output depending on what patches are made for it to run as a software package. They are finding it. But doing anyhing about it is hard. And removing it is just about impossible unless you just turn it off and unplug it.

It is the U.S. How anyone can think otherwise is beyond me. We are the "premier" super power at the moment in large part because we carry so much military weight and are now willing at this time in our history to topple governments and regimes when the do not co operate with our own ambitions.

Given that our government knows that the American people are very opposed to another war, they instead take the insane amount of tax dollars and invest them in the best computer experts in the world, much like Germany and there rocket scientists of the time. Money buys cutting edge tech but at the end of the day, good will overcome evil, I just wonder what side of the fence we find ourselves on this time around......

Its NATO and all the war on terror countries. The US,UK,Australia,France,Germany,Israel. The UK,Ireland,Italy had the websites for programming the virus on the internet. France had the Seimens Controllers effected and knew the pass words to do it. The US and Israel probly tied all the pieces together to make them all work. The Global Corporations were neck deep. The US also allowed Haliburton and Koch Industries to sell equipment to Iran which could have been how they got the bug in.

Skywiper is a modular, extendable and updateable threat. It is capable, but not limited to the following key espionage functions:

- Scanning network resources
- Stealing information as specified
- Communicate to C&C Servers over SSH and HTTPS protocols
- Detect the presence of over 100 security products (AV, Anti-Spyware, FW, etc)
- Both kernel and user mode logic is used
- Complex internal functionality utilizing Windows APC calls and and threads start manipulation, and code injections to key processes
- It loads as part of Winlogon.exe then injects to Explorer and Services
- Conceals its present as ~ named temp files, just like Stuxnet and Duqu
- Capable of attacking new systems over USB Flash Memory and local network (slowly spreads)
- Creates screen captures
- Records voice conversations
- Runs on Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems
- Contains known exploits, such as the Print Spooler and lnk exploit found in Stuxnet
- Uses SQLite Database to store collected information
- Uses custom DB for attack modules (This is very unusual, but shows the modularity and extendibility of the malware)
- Often located on nearby systems: a local network for both C&C and target infection cases
- Utilizes PE encrypted resources

To summarize, the threat shows great similarity to Stuxnet and Duqu in some of its ways of operation yet its code base and implementation are very different, and much more complex, and robust in its basic structure.

Skywiper is the other name for this virus.

Well, the only problem with that statement is that there isn't actually a real war on terror. There is a propaganda war on terror that is very much alive and well but as far as there being any threat that would threaten American way of life through acts of terror........... Look no further than legislation being pushed by your own government.

Its all a scam. Sarkozy was having his war on Africa after Bush left and the war on the Middle East was turned around. But now you have Iran and Syria back in the spot light since Sarkozy is gone. War on Terror is just a never ending game of fake spring uprisings.
