Obama struggles with campaign theme


The Obama "Theme" in 2008 was “Change You Can Believe In”.
(and boy did we get it)

The 2012 campaign doesn't really have a clear "Theme" as of yet.

They have tried a few "slogans", but those don't seem to be driving the pistons too well.
(maybe the batteries are dead)

President Obama’s campaign has yet to find a clear 2012 reelection slogan that carries the heft of 2008’s “Change You Can Believe In,” raising worries among his supporters — and hopes among Republicans — that he is having trouble articulating a concise case for a second term.

“It’s a problem because in 2008 he had an absolute winner of a slogan in ‘hope and change,’ ” said Tobe Berkovitz, a Boston University professor and expert on political advertising. “It said it all, and the things that he has tried so far this time haven’t worked in the same way.”

Berkovitz is not sure that the Obama team can conjure something so effective this time around, and suggests the campaign is “struggling to find a core message.”

One "appropriate" slogan cited in the story is “Obama Isn’t Working"
(double pun intended !)

What "Theme" does Obama need right NOW ?

Please help him think of some !!

How about: We promise to use lube this time?

That might draw a few dems back.

No i don't "support" Obama. At least not politically. We all support him thru taxes however !!

Do you think a major "change" took place after Obama took office ?

I do.

He allowed the spending to top out the credit. The result was a credit downgrade.

The White House numbers are pretty clear.

People forget his campaign platform.

Balance the budget.

Review every spending purchase line by line.

100% transparency.

Well he was never sworn in, so he isnt liable for anything.

We saw the swearing in transparency on day one and knew we were getting dry boned on everything else.


Liar in chief.

That shows the rather sad state of the current state of the union where they are having problems coming up with a slogan that the masses will vote for him on.

He can't run a country,a campaign and he has ran out of lies.

Obama, "Vote the best,forget the mess".

will he use the same poster & phrase he did in 2008 copied from hitler YES WE CAN try reversing that look up reverse speach on youtube we serve satan .or do it on your computer voice recorder .dont vote for them it only encourages them & football .politics & religion are for the feeble minded lol
