How does that exactly make him a nut case?

Not that I like him or any other MSM talking head, I just don't get how that makes him crazy.

AFTER the interview you don't need one. At best, she's mentally ill, but more likely she's just uneducated and dumb...take your pick

Ya know, it's been said that freedom is not free; you have to fight for it. Well, I think it should be the same for Freedom of Speech. If one is uneducated they shouldn't be given this right automatically. Freedom of speech has to be earned, just like everything else in life. We should all have to carry an I.Q. card that proves we've taken a test. Take the woman in the clip, for instance. If her I.Q. card showed her I.Q. to be 70, then it should be illegal for her to give an opinion in public, and it should be illegal for her to be interviewed on television.

Sorry, we can't interview you because you're stupid.

If you want a keyboard diagnosis from a non-psychiatrist then sure.

She agrees with a statement that proclaims the desire send gay people to concentration camps because they are gay. That would probably make her a sociopath since she clearly lacks the ability to feel empathy towards others.

Psychopaths possess a general lack of empathy. It includes deficiencies in comprehension and appreciation of others’ experiences and motivations, lack of tolerance of differing perspectives and diminished understanding of the effects of own behavior on others.[31] At an extreme they are simply unable to understand the emotional states of other people, except in a purely detached, intellectual sense. Other people are thus little more than objects for their personal gratification. They are not disturbed by the suffering of others, nor do they take pleasure in making others happy. This callousness extends to everybody, family and strangers alike. They neglect other people's needs and desires and can casually inflict extreme cruelty.

In other words, psychopathy leans towards the hereditary whereas sociopathy tends towards the environmental

And she says "The pastor speaks the word of God", which just means she's delusional like most cult members.

A delusion is a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary.[1] Unlike hallucinations, delusions are always pathological (the result of an illness or illness process).[1] As a pathology, it is distinct from a belief based on false or incomplete information, dogma, poor memory, illusion, or other effects of perception.

He would probably have the best chance of defending his statement. However, it does make the pastor seem ignorant by proxy, so maybe that's what anderson cooper was aiming for. Distasteful.

I'm a Christian from the deep south, and I'm far from neanderthal. In fact, ignorant people are going to be ignorant, regardless of religion. So, that was a cheap shot, mr.

I'm a Christian from the south and I am supportive of Gay Rights, the right for them to marry and am far from a Neantderthal. It's not Christians from the south that are the problem, it's the fundamentalist evangelical cultist Christians from every part of the country that is the problem.

I agree with the OP's statement she is what a lot of nutty christians are: a psychopath sans empathy for her supposed enemies. Gullible, poorly educated, indoctrinated into ideas that go no further than what we all saw. And yeah, ACooper "journalist" recently had some botox loving mom who gave her 7 year old money for a boob job on and oh the horror! He doesn't get the most eloquent subjects to help prove his obvious moral lines.

Isn't really surprising since you are black.

LOL

Could you be anymore of a stereotype? A southern Christian that is apologetic to gay bashers and believes in racist stereotypes?

edit on 28-5-2012 by RealSpoke because: (no reason given)

I'm very much offended by that. As I said, I'm a southern Christian and very supportive of gays. I'm also very anti-racist.
Both of you are wrong in this and both should stop. Neither of your views are acceptable. You are doing the same thing the pastor from the original video did and stereotyping an entire group based on your opinion of a few. One of you is slamming southern Christians for a stereotype that isn't true, the other is slamming blacks based on your opinion of a few. Both are wrong and both need to stop.

If you seriously think that feeling negatively towards her bigotry/stupidity qualifies as being an "anti-christian bigot" then something is wrong with your logic.

I hate to break it to you but a lot of Christians do not want to put gay people in FEMA camps or support that pastor. Are they anti-Christian as well?

No, it really isn't.

You are basing my ablilty to comprehend journalist manipulation off my perceived skin color.

You said you are Christian and from the south. I'm making an assessment of your ability to understand the information off your BELIEF pattern as a Christian along with considering your geographical location. Those TWO things absolutely affect your ability to not see through your assumed indoctrination.

Someones skin color doesn't.

Geographical location does NOT determine the character of a person, nor does theological affiliation, nor does race. You are being as bigoted as the ideas you say you are against.
I disagree completely with the poster you are arguing with, but by stating what you are stating, you deserve the same in return. BOTH of you are wrong in what you are doing and it needs to stop.
Racism and Bigotry are different sides of the same coin and both of you disgust me with your attitudes and behaviors.

Is it prejudice to hate the southern accent? It just makes the woman in the clip sound even more stupid.

I have lived in the south and in the northeast. People in the northeast are far "dumber" than anyone I've seen in the south. So yes, it is prejudice to hate the southern accent. ....of course the woman in the clip IS an idiot, but that's beside the point.

From a medial standpoint, she is clearly morbidly obese, other diagnosis would require an examination. I would hazard to guess low IQ, perhaps some learning disability and a bad, bad, bad case of bigotry and racism, but those are medical...maybe psychological

I'm not bashing Christians as her concentration camp views don't really represent Christian values in the first place...or maybe I'm wrong and concentration camps and Christianity go hand in hand in your opinion. I'm merely bashing religious fundamentalist psychopaths who are demonstrably dumb and harbouring unconstitutional views.

The pastor and the woman in the video are not Christian, so "Christian basher" doesn't apply to what people may say about them. They are fundamental evangelical cultists, not Christians.
....and that's coming from an anti-racist, gay supportive, southern Chrsitian. Now chew on that one.

I'm a Methodist and the Methodist church is fairly accepting, depending on the individual congregations. My congregation is very accepting and supportive of all people....or they would no longer be my congregation.
