Okay, whose bright idea was it who told me to put gold bond up and down my cast? lol I bought it and I put it on, and now it is stinging the open wound inside the cast.

OOOUUUUUUUUUUWWWWIIIIEEEEEEE...

Cast does smell better though. But, boy is it stinging. I can't get to the open wound because it's in the middle of the cast near the wrist.

ouch ouch ouch...

Is your injury from the dog incident? If so what is going on with that? Oh, and quit smelling your cast yo!

Seriously though, I hope you get through the discomfort with minimum suffering

Peace

yeah, it's still painful. Have to wait till I see the orthopedic doctor.
Guess, I won't know anything until she refuses to pay the bill. But, if she pays it, I'll be happy. Dog is doing alright.

Cat food gave him the stinkies.

Maybe we will see you on one of the 'judge' shows, such as Mathis or Millian. They have these dog attack cases all the time, and when someone is unable or willing to keep their dog confined on their property, they are in the wrong. Were there any witnesses to the event?
Again, I hope for a good recovery.

peace

The only witnesses was her whole family. That's it. My sister saw the attack when my dog ran on his porch.

LOL
If you go back to the thread I told you to buy baking powder.
Also, you didn't mention that you have an open cut in your cast.
You should probably let a doctor know what you did incase it gets infected.

I just saw the post where someone suggested gold bond.
lol people these days.

Sucks that you can't get it wet or else you could flush it out.
Baking powder is 50 cents for a pound. Way more then enough. It's all natural too!

The medication they have me on, has been giving me major migraines. Especially when I go to bed and wake up. Worse then a hangover, that's for sure.

You didn't tell me you had an open wound!!!!! So am I on the hater list now?

I know it hurts but it won't aggravate the open wound as long as it has a scab.

How are you feeling?

The "people these days" you're referring to is me. I've been in sports for over 20 years and have been to many sports medicine clinics in my day. Having countless casts on my limbs I know a thing or two. Baking soda will work, yes, but it's not what you want to use. It's not medicated, it's grainy, makes a mess, it doesn't help the itch, and also it will hurt like HELL going into a wound. You might as well pour salt in the wound.

Manhater you did the right thing going to get the Gold Bond. It will not get infected, or anything like that. I had several open wounds when I got my arm in a cast and used it. It will stop stinging in a bit and you'll be feeling better.

It won't scab over it because no air is getting to it to heal. Gauge is over it and the cast is over it.

It will be okay, there's nothing that will cause an infection. I'm surprised they didn't treat the wound before putting a cast on.

How are you feeling?

Besides that, I'm doing good, thank you. Just itching and painful when I move it.

If there's a cast over an open wound, how can you (or the doctor) tell if it gets infected? I'm surprised they didn't put a plastic cast that can be opened on you.

I really hope you don't get an infection in there, that could be dangerous. Does it cost a small fortune down there if you go to the doctor to get the wound checked?

And yes, baking soda is sodium, just like salt, it would have hurt just as much.

With the meds, are they dehydrating you in any way? That would give you headaches. Take some omega 3 oils ( fish or flax oil), and drink more liquids.
