How true. But at least in the US Senate you require 60 votes to pass any major legislation according to the Senate Rules (unless the change them, its here house the make the rules)

The Republic does not work because we stopped acting like a Republic and started acting like a Democracy.

To make a Democracy work, an IQ test should be passed.
This would probably lead to a larger middle class, the real indicator of
a just society.

Personally a Republic kinda cures the daftness of the crowd.

Half of voters will always be below average intelligence. aybe we could test politicians for authoritarianism, stupidity, greed and love of power.

And for good measure make them swear an oath or something...

Seriously though, politicians have no problem committing blatant treason under penalty of death, but we'll "scare em straight" somehow.

So you are saying that our flawed system of IQ which gives higher scores to people who take more risks should structure society. Sorry but I can't agree with that even though it would put me at the uppermost place in society with my past test results.
