Take a tea party governor like Sam Brownbeck -- a republican majority, mix together - and you get crazy - enough crazy to effect the state of Kansas for many years to come.

www2.ljworld.com...

the act dramatically changes the Kansas tax system, shifting the income tax burden from the wealthy and prosperous to working people. The act provides that all income of business owners is tax-free (except in the unusual case where a regular corporation is used). Although the act was promoted as a boost to small business, there is no limit on the size of business that can be exempt from tax.

The new income tax will be dramatically regressive. Low- and moderate-income workers will remain on the tax rolls. Meanwhile, wealthy Kansans will readily escape the tax, and many prosperous (but not wealthy) Kansans will be able to evade the tax as well. Beginning in 2013, the Kansas tax system will be among the most regressive in the nation.

Essentially if you have the money to establish a trust - you are going to get off, state tax free. If you are just a working schmuck, step right up and pay your taxes, if you are even a little wealthy - thank your poorer neighbors for paying your way.

How do you pay for this inequity -- why cut programs - the safety net - education - infrastructure.

Brownback wants to be the Governor of Somalia, with secure gated enclaves. This will become a right wing Mecca, a model for how it is done.

The sad things is that even after Kansas goes bankrupt, they will still continue to push this ridiculous agenda.

Unless the municipalities raise property taxes through the roof.

Middle class and poor people don't pay taxes they just live off the blood and sweat of the wealthy like leeches.

The country would be better off if these people would just drop dead and leave this country to the people who bought it fair and square.

This has been your GOP thought of the day.

You get the government you pay for, unfortunately if you are just an average family - it is obvious that you can't pay enough to make the big moves.

If they bring back debtors prisons in Kansas -- no one will be paying taxes.

I hope Brownback owns this for a long long time.

Gotta love these republicans when they do garbage like this, while talking all about their christian faith nonsense. With what the republicans have been up to lately, there should be no doubt that if their jesus character were here today, he would absolutely DESPISE these devils.

But that Christian-card works well to keep low and middle-class dummies (mostly in the south) voting against their best interests. Republicans are the most anti-Christian devils out there, yet they know that the delusional cult followers are so easily tricked with the religion card. Sad people. Dummies!!
