I would agree that coc aine (and all drugs) must be legalized as the *only* action that will stop the trafficking and the worst of the negative effects. Drug abuse requires education and medical resources, not police resources.

That's the dumbest idea I've heard.

Why don't you just say it out loud ... put the entire population on drugs, and have them locked up in a cocoon, matrix style. Where they can live the rest of their days out in the matrix.

That's basically what you want ... and I say throw people like you into the ocean, that's a good start.

We don't need more junkies and morons ... we need more people with grey matter, they can use.

When you have a minute, remove the blinders and maybe, just maybe you'll understand what these smuggling dollars have done to our country and other countries around the world. Our politicians have been bought and sold. Police have been bought and sold. The military has been bought and sold. Wall street has gone totally darkside. Entire groups of people, notably blacks and the poor, have been brought under community control. The drug war is a repeat of the 1920 prohibition -- on steroids.

These black-ops types are psychos and they want conflict, money and control. Perhaps you are too immersed in the propaganda on the mainstream media to understand. Perhaps you don't have the intellect required to understand. There's no shame in this as many Americans are sleeping sheep. Perhaps the best course of action is just to go back to sleep and wave the flag when fedgov announces the next "enemy" or "cause" of the month.

Smuggling internationally?

Any details? Who, what, when, where and why? Governments and agencies involved? Turkey, Afghanistan, Columbia?

No big surprise there.

The drug money supplies the black ops programs...........you know the stuff we're not suppose to know about.

They (The CIA) Help bring in the drugs, sell them, set people up, catch them, make sure our judges imprison the "drug users" for cheap labor, sort of like the Russian Gulags.

All a big scam.

Now research the prison industry and who owns the companies that service this mega billion dollar cash cow - and get this rich people like GWB, Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, the Kennedy's, Bill Clinton, all do drugs but surprise surprise they don't do the jail time we commoners do.

Two sets of laws.

Those that have the gold make the rules the rest of us have to abide by.

Always been that way.

Steal a loaf of bread and you get your hand cut off.

Steal a 1,000 people's pensions and you get promoted to CEO.

Ahhhhhhhhhh the good old American way.

Exactly, because some have the money to pay huge fines or they have the power and influence to make the law just look the other way.
Even the big banksters are immune to prosecution for something that would get you or I multiple life sentences.

On 10 April 2006, a DC-9 jet landed in the port city of Ciudad del Carmen, on the Gulf of Mexico, as the sun was setting. Mexican soldiers, waiting to intercept it, found 128 cases packed with 5.7 tons of coc aine, valued at $100m. But something else – more important and far-reaching – was discovered in the paper trail behind the purchase of the plane by the Sinaloa narco-trafficking cartel. During a 22-month investigation by agents from the US Drug Enforcement Administration, the Internal Revenue Service and others, it emerged that the coc aine smugglers had bought the plane with money they had laundered through one of the biggest banks in the United States: Wachovia, now part of the giant Wells Fargo.

Why does this crap go ignored by the people, the media, the world? Yes, it sometimes get mentioned briefly but then it always gets brushed aside.
Its like people are in a stupor now, when things like this happen. The "officials" either deny it or just ignore it and we just accept it because we feel powerless to do anything about it.

well, ok, big man,...what the hell are you going to do about it...citizens arrest?...shoot somebody?...or just write a letter to your congressmen. this isn't ignored, we just don't have the power to go and arrest these people. we are not "sheeple", nor do we need to "wake up"...we need the power to physically take these guys and throw them in prison. but, try that, and you and your family will pay dearly...so who's going to be the first one to step forward?....bueller??....bueller??...no one?...yeah, didn't think so....talk is cheap

That's wrong.

Legalization does not mean everybody will use drugs.

In case you didn't know... everybody that wants to use drugs can do so, now that they are illegal. Legalization is not going to increase use, it's going to take the economic power away from the cartels.
That's why the war on drugs it's absurd, it creates the black market and the huge profits.

If you think the goverment doesn't get a piece of the pie they bake...you're dreaming.

My father is serving time for moving huge amounts of the stuff internationaly, I know a little bit about this.

You got it almost right, but it's not the cartels that have the most to lose. It's the US intelligence services. The biggest cartels are on their payroll.

If your job is to arrest people smuggling drugs into the country, and to seize sand destroy those drugs, how do you get evidence that smuggling has occurred and get access to the drugs you are trying to seize?

Man what a coincident. CIA = Cocane In America. Well lets just say out loud here. Our government has gotten out of control and we are all aware under the surface lies the drug business via the departments that are suppose to stop the process. After all the money spent on the so called "Drug War" we still haven't figure out what is wrong here? It is almost laughable to watch the process now that most of us in America have been given a heads up through whistle blowers. And as for "Fast and Furious", it should of been called Fast and Really Stupid. You just can't make this stuff up if you didn't know it was real.

The DEA agent in the video authorized coc aine coming into America for investigative purposes, someone had to and that is why he was upset - no one had the authorization to go around his ass without him giving the nod. There have been other examples of other departments being exposed also.

It is so bad now we can't even discuss certain things on ATS for open discussion of fixing this mess. It is destroying our country and we are being watch on a hourly bases - you have to be careful about what you type here - period. I'll take a chance here and say - prohibition was the best example of what can be done to stop the insanity.

What do you think the Percentage of Drugs coming into the US brought in by the DEA, CIA, Coast Guard, etc.?? Maybe 20% Maybe 50%??

I think its higher and dont forget the early 80's and the Freeway Rick Ross scandal which everyone laughed off as a Conspiracy Theory for the longest time until it was actually admitted.

We also must look at the Prison System and the Billions they make as well. So, the Government brings in the drugs and than locks up the drug users. They make money on both ends.

you are absolutely right, talk is cheap, and no one group, or person will stand first, because they, (CIA, DEA, BATF) are all to big to be taken down. we as the civilian population would have to mass by the thousands at their front door armed to the teeth to make any type on difference. it would have to be coordinated to work. but the government does a good job at keeping most of the masses drugged, fat, and pre-occupied to do anything worth while. IMHO I think all of these crooked agencies need to be put in a giant mass grave (alive mind you
), and then given the firing squad treatment. bulldoze the dirt back over them and call it a day........

even I could go home and eat a sandwich after that one

For now, one thing we can do is Jury Nullification for the victims of of the drug war.

Make damn sure you answer the jury pre-selection questions in a way that ensures you get considered for the jury. If you are selected -- vote "not guilty" on *any* drug case. Stand your ground and ensure the defendant walks. It will not take many of these actions to get the attention of the scumbag prosecutors that are part-n-parcel of the war-on-liberties ..... er .... ah ...... drug war.

Soon there will be more to do. The government has looted the treasury to cover Wall Street fraud and are demanding the populace pay it back. It's clear they are purposely collapsing the national and international system for some reason. It appears that our choices may soon be: Follow the federal traitors or fight. Regardless of the outcome, I don't see the organized victimization of our populace continuing in the future.

Is there a FAQ on ATS bulletin board policy?

Please forgive my ignorance but I fail to understand why the board allows discussion about proven government narcotics trafficking but fails to allow discussion on the cure for such corruption.
