So, whose all ready for Beryl to come creeping in? Hopefully it won't be that bad and give us some wind and rain. We need the weather.

If you ask me, weather . com comes up with some stupid names for hurricanes and tropical storms.

Also, I need some tips on how to make a cast...not stink.. OMG, This things smell is about ready to kill me.

I'm on the west coast so the hurricane really doesn't matter to me.
Try putting baking powder in there and leave-n it in there for a while.
It absorbs moisture and odor.
Super Cheap at walmart. Like 50 cents for a box.

Actually a committee from the World Meteorological Society maintains the lists of storm names. But, you are right...thank goodness Weather.com has nothing to do with this...LOL. Just batten down and listen to the wind and rain. Was through a few when I lived in Florida, and the neighborhood I was in just made the best of it.

I saw the list on weather.com and thought they were the ones who made the names.

I'm just south of where this is coming on shore...nothing really happening here except the occasional wind gust and a quick down pour.A cousin of mine is up in Jacksonville and she says they were getting nailed. It's only a tropical storm. No biggie. We do need the rain here though. Can't help you with the cast though.I haven't had one on since sixth grade

Just wanted to pass on my thoughts to all of you across the pond who are in the line of this.

Btw, who names these natural events? I'm not saying that you need to get the most dramatic and terrifying name possible, but hurricane Beryl?

Sounds like people are bracing themselves for thier elderly neighbour coming round with her knitting.
