I apologize if I am without tact, but I am a seeker of truth and not all truths are ideal to our emotions and logic.

And here in lies most of the problems. If people spent more time being a seeker of fact than on truth we might actually get a lot more accomplished. It is too easy to try and find things that support your own personal "truths". but remember this.....Truths...a fact does not make. Truth is debatable. Facts are not. Figured you would have known this from looking at your signature.reply to post by DrChuck

Given that the Lunatic gives a choice to watch one or the other and appears to grant you your wish in whichever decision you make, I would ask that he shows both - then see which one would generate more questions from my children.

If not, I would choose the latter so I could correct any misgivings my children may have on the subject. The former is a given - i remember what myself and my friends were looking at from a very early age when the old man wasn't around and we knew where his stick books were

Either way, the trauma associated with the lunatic tying up your parents and making you watch one of two movies would trump the long-term consequential effect of the contents of the movie.

Lucky its only hypothetical.

The OP has proven ONE thing and proved it WELL: religion has warped HIS mind...

How do I know this? Because you are doing exactly what they WANT you to do. You have been deceived in exactly the same way as the OWS supporters have been. The entire NWO agenda revolves around removing God by creating mass hatred through false religion. You are just as much of a puppet as Obama is. The elite created religion as a Mind Control tool with a hidden agenda that aims to blind and misguide you away from the truth. Do you not see that their entire agenda revolves around permanently separating us from God?

This is how they keep you from knowing God and blind as to what God is really like! Religion is the original programming and mind-control mechanism designed to make you hate God and want nothing to do with Him. ALL pagan religions of mass destruction are controlled by Satan! Religion is the greatest enemy of God, because it is Satan's greatest deception.

Religion was manufactured long ago by men who wished to control the masses. Different religions were created in different places to suit the needs and beliefs of the area, and it was intended to serve as a crutch. The leaders of these regions used religion to enslave their people, and religion continues to be such an evil. In essence, religion was the first form of mind control.

When the Illuminati was formed, it was evident that religion was something that could keep the masses dumb and ignorant to what was really happening around them. Is this not what has happened? Because of religion, the Illuminati has been able to work in secret for many, many years.

The gods that are relative to each religion are continually manufactured in the minds of those that are enslaved. The indoctrination of the masses by religion has led to a brainwashed society that is easy for the Illuminati to take control of. Every major religion in the world has been infiltrated by the Illuminati. A group that calls themselves Light Feet has installed Illuminati members in every major religion of the world. The purpose of these Light Feet is to ensure that the masses are controlled by their respective religion. Source

"Organized religion is THE deception that keeps us in fear of God and rejecting his grace. Religion keeps you from knowing God and keeps you blind as to what God is really like! Sadly, some confuse religion with Jesus, and walk away from them both, God and religion are separate entities that get intertwined together by man. ALL pagan religions are controlled by Satan! The elite created religion as a tool for control with a hidden agenda that aims to blind and misguide you away from the truth."

Proof that this thread is retarded -

A lunatic breaks into your home and ties you to a chair. He brings out your young children and gives you two options - either you have sex with him or he has sex with you.

Your choice.

p.s. I'd let them watch the Passion of the Christ and told them to close their eyes during the gruesome scenes. It's not that bloody hard, people.

Be honest now, how can such violence have a 'proper context' in what is deemed to be a religion of love? If any part of a religion needs to be withheld from young minds then, surely, one must question the validity of every part of that religion. If we can't say to our children, "God loves puppies and kittens and you," and have that be the total definition of god, then there's something utterly sick about that religion. If we have to add, "God loves puppies and kittens and you, and he was brutally beaten to keep you from burning in hell," well, that's just wrong.

It has proper context in the extent that it wasn't Christians who did the violence. What don't you get about that?

Christ taught love, forgiveness, as well as exposing hypocrisy and deception in some of the upper members of Judaism.

He did nothing wrong, but those who feared his truth, and the amount of influence he had over the many who followed him, are the ones who initiated the violence.

There are good people who suffer the same fate for trying to do the right thing , by evil people, who do not want to be exposed.

Why blame Christianity for the actions taken against it?

I agree.

Luke 21:1 Under these circumstances, after so many thousands of people had gathered together that they were stepping on one another, He began saying to His disciples first of all,"Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Matthew 23:29-31 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.

Matthew 21:33-46 “Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.

“The tenants seized his servants; they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third. Then he sent other servants to them, more than the first time, and the tenants treated them the same way. Last of all, he sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said.

“But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’ So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

“Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”

“He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,” they replied, “and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.”

Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures:

“‘The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes’?
“Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. Anyone who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; anyone on whom it falls will be crushed.”
When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard Jesus’ parables, they knew he was talking about them. They looked for a way to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowd because the people held that he was a prophet.

I have a 5 year old.
I guess if forced to choose, I would say the love-making and hopefully I could help him giggle through it. We aren't talking up-close porn, right? Cuz that would be a hell no. I would be hoping he would not understand what was going on..

Definitely not the Jesus one, as that would be very traumatic. My son "found" Jesus on his own (not sure how?) and is very attached to images of him, stories, books, and the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, . I don't make a big deal of it..he is his own person and will find his own spiritual path..I am here to guide him to be a good person and give him a mother's love.

A lunatic breaks into your home and ties you to a chair in the TV room. He brings your young children out and sits them on the floor. Now he demands that you make one of two choices: You can either have your kids watch a film of two naked people making tender love, or have them watch...this

Which do you choose?

bing.com
lu·na·tic [ lnətik ] 1.thoughtless: considered thoughtless, ridiculous, or reckless
2.offensive term: an offensive term meaning affected by a psychiatric disorder
3.irresponsible person: somebody considered wildly reckless.
The Pharisees and the Sadducees, the hypocrites who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel, they thought that Jesus was a lunatic.
John 10:20 Many of them said, “He has a demon, and is insane; why listen to him?”
Convice me, you admit that both the choices are made by a lunatic, you thought up the whole scenario, which of these two choices you have given are thoughtful, which of these two are innoffensive, which of these two are responsible? Neither. You are giving the choice of "the lesser of two evils". Neither are righteous.
I agree with Mugatroid (I'm sorry if I have misspelled the username).
Christianity is a lunatic religion, IF it is true that Christianity chooses the lesser of two evils instead of the way of righteousness. Please allow me to explain.
Christians are led to believe that there is no one who does good, no not one. It is the Pauline Doctrine that defy's God.
This belief negates the whole reason that Jesus came to the vinyard, to aquire good "fruit" to bring to God.
Those who are led away from the truth, believe that Jesus came to impute righteousness through His own good deeds.
Jesus said that He came to save us from our sins, not to leave us drenched in sin lifestyle wilst only taking the wrath of sin, he came as a physician. Physicians don't fix what isn't broken, sin breaks our communion with God. Jesus didn't come so that we can continue on in our sin. He came to free us from the effects of sin by freeing us from sin. However, there are many, like you jigger, who believe that all we have are the lesser of two evils, and God does not endorse evil.

have you ever seen the movie heavy metal? it combines the two concepts dynamically. kind of but not really. the second amendment exists where i am so why should i worry about that? i think watching either or would be denying ignorance. for how can extremes exist without one another. it's like this scenario, a perpetrator breaks into your house, you get out your .45 and perform spontaneous amateur brain surgery at 750? fps in one shot. afterward you have two choices

1. tell the kids "get the bleach and the mop and keep your yaps shut"

2. call the cops

tender love making? If a lunatic wants to make us watch "porn" why would it be tender love making and not real porn? I guess they really would be a lunatic lol.

Unfortunately my children would have to learn a hard lesson early in life. They would learn that when a stranger comes into your home uninvited and is intentionally posing a threat to your family or even friends, that it is the moral duty of anyone capable of preventing them from being a threat to do so however they can. While it would indeed be very untimely and unfortunate I have a feeling that my children would be learning how to do something that many here might consider much more vile because if the threat refused to surrender and would be potentially posing even more of a threat to my family because of me trying to stop them then I would have no hesitation to end that threat's existence.

But just to play along, I would pick the tender love making, hell I would pick the hardcore sex. This of course assuming I was one of those really moral types of people who believes that children seeing such things would scare them, which I am not. Do I intentionally show this kind of stuff to my children? Certainly not, but if they happen to see it, the world has not ended. Depending on the age of the children either, there are ways for real parents to explain either one of these to their children without the minds being as scarred as many believe they would be. Our world is now way too pc and our parents - including the generation before mine and mine ( the newest generation) do not know how to properly parent and many do not desire to do so.

I was very happy to read your post, and respect you for letting your Son find his own path.

Trying to live a life that Christ taught us about, will never make him a bad person.

Please ask him to pray for me, he sounds like a wonderful kid.

Love is all.

God is love.

Sex expresses love best.

It also expresses lust best.

In this case morality should have the upper hand.
