There's a mix of stuff both good and bad. I found the link for "air conditioning" really good, it describes how to both heat and cool your home using geothermal. Unfortunately, I can't use this method at my house due to too many tree roots preventing me from digging but if you have a bare yard it would work great.

...also, burying your head in the sand may help keep you cool during a deadly solar event.

Thanks OP. This was linked to on the Poleshift ning as well. I've been through some of it - it really could be winnowed down somewhat, though I'm grateful to those that put the effort in to share.

I think I remember just downloading some of the updates section was easier - I think all the subjects were covered alphabetically there in an easier to download format.

Is it only USA that will get #ed or should europe worry too?

The poleshift will affect the whole world, though those near coasts, faults and volcanoes will get it the worst. People also need to be mindful of protecting themselves from a temporary cessation of radiation protection from the atmosphere.

The New Madrid is expected to cut loose before all this happens which will only be a US phenomenon and an excuse for nationwide or at least regional martial law.

I've just started to browse through this and here's my first reaction. Some of the information would be helpful in a SHTF scenario. However, it seems the "planet X checklist" is waaaayyyy out of date. LOL

As much as I will enjoy browsing through most of these. I have to admit the planet X myth being attached to it lends quite a bit of speculation in my eyes.

But, I do still thank you for the interesting read, it's helping me kill a slow day at work.

I guess these files would be pretty useful.
Well, as long as your laptop/computer still worked after a disaster like this hits..
