Go to Beatport dot com. Search these artists:
NERO (UK) - Promises
Bassnectar - Nothing Has Been Broken & Timestretch
Circusjam - Love (One of my best hitting tracks right now)

also look up:
Datsik
Excision
NOISIA
Dubsidia
Dubtek
Seven Lions
Xilent (he also produces exquisite Drum & Bass music)

Forget Skrillex, I like him a lot but it's too much 'facemelt'ing high frequency. And too commercial.

I've been DJing since the 90's. I've played gigs around the world with all the famous DJs. These artists are at the top of the genre right now.

I'd tell you who I am but I'm not trying to be famous on ATS.

Cool. I heard this type of music about 6 months ago here in Vietnam and I had no clue what it was called. Had a couple of guys on stage going at it, after that night I never heard it again... Mainly some type of techno playing at the clubs here. Thanks for the list of dj's to check out!!!

My favorite Skrillex track is 'Kill Everybody' which is actually an Electro bassline. I give it A+ on a lot of levels, and I never play what I consider mediocre music.

My friends used to gig with Sonny Moore all over Hollywood Blvd before he was DJ Skrilla err Skrillex. He kept his scream band vibe alive into his new music. My issue is that when I play his music, I get accused of trying to be him. His sound is very stylized, and there are plenty of artists on his tip right now. I just feel that his sound is standard now as opposed to forward-thinking like it was in 2009. Sonny give the world the next "you".

Much ups to him for his un-televised thank you speech during the Grammy's. He said a mouthfull that needed to be heard.

I'm sorry, DISTANCE? Second rate. Its a filler track so people can get another drink...no offense intended.

Also much ups to Dim Mak and OWSLA. See you at Monday Social.

Well I thought I knew what dubstep was, but this all sounds like grungy trance?

Dub was faster and more aggressive, I thought... maybe just what I heard.. to be honest, I dont even really still know what makes it... it.

Anyways, bugger all this new stuff,

get some wink into ya!

lol hey, I'm a metal fan, but this used to tickle my brain when I was... umm... not allowed to say... back in the day.

Acid eat braincell? That unpossible!

Dubstep is overrated sh1t.

Listen to DnB instead (drum n bass). There's so much in that genre to enjoy.

Liquid DnB, Dark DnB, darkstep, etc etc.

Here's a link to a thread I made before, some good examples of good DnB

Not 100% dubstep perhaps but let's take 12 minutes to listen one of the most emotional electronic producers in the last decade and the one that started this dubstep fad.
