What is Kerry ranting about with the Humvees and the body armor and all? Is bush even responsible for the alleged lack of armor?

Any insights?

He is saying that the Bush administration isn't doing enough to properly protect the troops overseas with the large lack of modern armour for US forces in Iraq. I think he will speed up the handout of body armour to US troops if elected president

thanks,

Yes and the way to do that is to vote against the 87 billion dollars for the military (body armor).... Well, he did vote for it, before he voted against it.

Yet in 1 eyar of war bush has managed to outfit 2000 hummers with armor. Yes its 20% but its still more then clinton did or any body b4 him. Just wanted to show yall the other side of the story.

Pooh pooh it all you want. Bush is the one that wanted a full scale invasion of Iraq. The lack of proper body armor doesn't speak to unprepardeness as much as it does a total miscalculation of what the troops would be facing after the initial victory.

How many Pentagon officials, CIA officials and former military men need to say it was poorly planned campaign before people stop going back to Clinton.

Whatever happened to the buck stops here. Bush has given more excuses and passed the blame so many times that it makes me sick. The only thing worse is his supporters doing the same thing. Its been four years, its time to give the Clinton blame game a rest.

The first draft he voted for would have been Vetoed by Bush because it was not how he wanted the monies to be structured, the second draft was the way Bush wanted it, and Kerry voted against it. I do not know why people are putting this on Kerry, it passed, he has the money, the troops are going into combat without the supplies needed to keep them safe as possible. Let's deal with what is actually going on Today, and get the troops Armored up.
