The left has always claim the "moral high ground" indeed to date none have ever shown it.

Second.

Right wing media like FOX loves playing the moral high ground. Can't believe you can't see what's in front of your own eyes.

Rachel Maddow and Ed Schultz also believe they have the moral high ground. It's laughable. There are people who watch Ed's program just for the laughs.

You think the Koch Brothers are Conservative? Also I hardly think calling the Koch Brothers disgusting is attacking ALL Conservatives, see how that works?

No, they are more Libertarian, hence their support of Tea Parties instead of the Establishment RINOS.

I was just trying to be helpful...I know there are alot of untruths out there about the TPM being crazy and evil...just wanted to show the sane side of what we re really trying to do...thank you for having an open mind,

Oh and I forgot to mention, theteaparty.org has no affiliation with the Koch brothers, they are affliated with American's For Prosperity.

I think it's interesting that you read their delivery as believing they have the moral high ground. Personally, I think they just believe they have facts on their side... which they do.

I'm not entirely familiar with the entirety of that act, but it was my understanding that it made it much easier to take an employer to court to hold them accountable if they aren't paying their female employees equitably in comparison to their male counterparts. YEP, Cindy!! That’s the one!

Funny how that works, huh?

The DEFINITION of hypocrisy!

1. Illegal aliens are here illegally.

Duh! Why not go after the idiots that hire them instead?

2. Pro-domestic employment is indispensable.

So is fascism. Do you advocate that too? And where are the droves of Americans to apply to clean toilets on the 3rd shift? Oh wait, that's too good for most Americans, hence the refugees and illegals take those jobs.

3. A strong military is essential.

As if we didn't already spend enough on defense.

4. Special interests must be eliminated.

Sure, the non-TPM special interests that is.

5. Gun ownership is sacred.

Gun ownership is not for everyone, especially if it's the ones that lack the brain cells to operate a gun in a safe manner!

6. Government must be downsized.

AKA, "government must be thrown out the window completely". Chaos.

7. The national budget must be balanced.

Can't do that when you spend more on guns and tanks than education.

8. Deficit spending must end.

By how much?

9. Bailout and stimulus plans are illegal.

I agree..but where in the Constitution does it say this?

10. Reducing personal income taxes is a must.

For whom? The 1%? TPM isn't a movement of the people. It's a movement of the 1% and their brown-nosers.

11. Reducing business income taxes is mandatory.

Tell that to GE, which paid very little in income tax. How is that good for the average citizen?

12. Political offices must be available to average citizens.

They are but apparently, the average TPM citizen has been under a rock their whole life.

13. Intrusive government must be stopped.

Only when the people learn how to balance their power first. It seems like the TPM is a movement of social conservatives that want the right to discriminate.

14. English as our core language is required.

If TPM'ers would stop gutting the educational system, we could actually TEACH people English for once!

15. Traditional family values are encouraged.

Again, WHY? What difference does it make what your neighbor does? This goes against the idea of FREEDOM that the TPM preaches. Or does that freedom only apply to white, male land-owners, of which make up the majority of the TPM?

Just wanted to post this for Kali to see....this is the official TPM site.....so she can see the official stand on their (OUR) beliefs....hopes this clears up some things.

Ah yes, the party of blatant hypocrisy. Another sign that this country is going even further down the toilet. We don't need the TPM and the fascists that support it. We need BALANCE!:

The good news is, if they get the law passed they'll have to attend to their hypocrisy or get sued. However given the state of the economy that'll only happen if they laid-off their female staff.
The sad thing about the pay disparity is that at the beginning of the recession far more men lost their jobs, and it wasn't just because of the collapse of the more male dominated construction industry, it's because they cost more to the bottom line ....(lets not worry about who does the best job, just lets get rid of the more expensive payroll)

The other terrible thing about this financial fiasco we are in, is that we now have even bigger monopolies (the economy can not improve without competition), and the derivatives market is still allowed to carry on as before, the folks at the Banks are basically a bunch of gambling addicts ; nothing has been done about this, none of our reps have the b@ll$. Goldman Sachs and Monsanto are actually in control of this country IMHO, they have bought and paid for both the Dems & Reps and have infiltrated our courts. [END RANT]

I have called Obama fascist myself, I'll type with smaller words next time so you can actually tell that I'm not defending Democrats.

I think left leaners are just disassociating with him because he lied and didn't do what he said he would, not because he is too centrist.

I think this is REDICULOUS! As a male that works in the healthcare industry almost everybody except the doctors are females and I feel like that some of these certain "white collar" jobs are unfairlay aimed towards females. The male doctors always hire the females as secretaries, MA's, and nurses etc...

SHHHHHH….you can’t speak of THAT!!

Kind of like you can’t speak of the reverse discrimination of Affirmative Action!

There are certain roles that society has for women and men. IMO those women who stray from those roles are noble and respectable and should be paid EXACTLY what EVERY male counterpart is paid.

However, the same rule should apply for male nannies and male strippers? How well is that working in our society?

It should all be equal across the board as far as pay…but society sets the standard! You can't legislate public sentiment.

Yah they are so in with Obama and even if Obama were to succeed at raising taxes, GE will likely still get out of it leaving the rest of us poor schmucks holding the bag. But socialist Utopians are too sucked into their dreamland ideals to know that. If Obama fails they will just say that he caved to the evil Capitalism.

Hello All I'm not exactly new just not posted before. usually come here for anything new that the mainstream media does not cover.. Anyway.......

Ive decided to register a actual account and post due to after reading nearly every page of this thread. Not paying much attention to names on posts mind you... I wanted to ask a question. Please do not take offense to this question but considering the website this thread is on I thought it is a good question.

When are you all going to stop being bots for the "Machine"? I know others have stated that either side is no better then the other however I do not see the difference My self. They both march forward with the same agenda in hand and in my opinion use discontent and dis- information to get the population (Bots) fighting with each other.

The facts are it hasn't been equal...I did an exhaustive search myself years ago..after BamBam was elected and over the past 80 years the Dems have controlled the House and Senate for more more than 60% of the time, so they own it....

No.

Under the TPM, corporations would get away with murder even more than they currently do.

Where are the jobs that social conservatives promised us when they hawked Bush's tax cuts?

Please give credit where credit is due.....

Congress enacted the Patriot Act by overwhelming, bipartisan margins, arming law enforcement with new tools to detect and prevent terrorism: The USA Patriot Act was passed nearly unanimously by the Senate 98-1, and 357-66 in the House, with the support of members from across the political spectrum.

Thanks for your post and your genuine interest. I think what you are referring to is the Hegelian dialectic of left/right paradigm wherein the arguments of two opposing forces creates conflict and in that conflict comes a synthesis. The late Antony Sutton explained it quite nicely in his books. He said that Hegelians typically pitted communism against Nazism. In the leftist ideology, fascism is the more "conservative" of the two ideals, so it creates a sense of two opposing forces, although both are from a leftist ideology. People mistake the so called "conservative" or "right leaning" ideas of fascism for the true conservatism of the Republican Party. Jonah Goldberg also wrote about this in his book, "Liberal Fascism". Both Hitler and Mussolini had Totalitarian regimes which took away freedom and liberty, and the communist party also takes away freedom.
Just try to think of anything Statist is not freedom. Statism in either party is really unacceptable, but people on the left hate war and people on the right dont like having their paychecks confiscated. Either way, the Statists are running the show.
The current POTUS is decidedly left-hegelian, so left leaners still prefer him to Romney.
Libertarian types typically like Ron Paul whether they are left or right leaning.

Duh! Why not go after the idiots that hire them instead?

Sounds good to me but don't see Reid and other Democrats doing anything soon about after all they do hire them for campaign events.

So is fascism. Do you advocate that too? And where are the droves of Americans to apply to clean toilets on the 3rd shift? Oh wait, that's too good for most Americans, hence the refugees and illegals take those jobs.

Cool lets keep those illegals in their places cleaning toilets!

As if we didn't already spend enough on defense.

Gotta problem with the consitution? all the free healthcare and free food and free homes and welfare didn't stop the first world trade center attack or 9-11 or the Uss cole attack,

Sure, the non-TPM special interests that is.

Yep eliminate corporations and pacs but leave Democratic cash cows such as unions and their "pacs" in tact go right ahead and stack the deck in their favors.

Gun ownership is not for everyone, especially if it's the ones that lack the brain cells to operate a gun in a safe manner!

The lack of brain cells are those who simply can not grasp what part of shall not be infringed means.

AKA, "government must be thrown out the window completely". Chaos.

Aww someone really doesn't know that is what liberal means freedom

Can't do that when you spend more on guns and tanks than education.

Really? bombs guns and tanks are smarter than those kids who graduate at the moment.

I agree..but where in the Constitution does it say this?

Oh that part where i says constitutional republic where minorities are protect from mob rule and that no person rights are more important than any other person in this country and all our rights come from God and not government who gets to define what is in your wallet.

For whom? The 1%? TPM isn't a movement of the people. It's a movement of the 1% and their brown-nosers.

Matter of opinion and the sad part is the the TPM is more liberal than those who claim to be liberal.

Tell that to GE, which paid very little in income tax. How is that good for the average citizen?

So the current Potus loved GE' CEO enough to make him his job czar.

They are but apparently, the average TPM citizen has been under a rock their whole life.

And the average congressman has spent over 30 decades under that rock called Washington DC.

Only when the people learn how to balance their power first. It seems like the TPM is a movement of social conservatives that want the right to discriminate.

Hmmm wanna talk about discrimination? how about rich people are evil and must be eradicated!

Corporations are evil and must be eradictated!

If TPM'ers would stop gutting the educational system, we could actually TEACH people English for once!

If you spend a billion dollars to teach a bag to sit up straight that is a waste of 1 billion dollars.

Again, WHY? What difference does it make what your neighbor does? This goes against the idea of FREEDOM that the TPM preaches. Or does that freedom only apply to white, male land-owners, of which make up the majority of the TPM?

Yeah what difference does it make what your neighbor does this goes agianst the very idea of freedom so if someone wants to be a teapartier who the hell are you to say otherwise.

Ah yes, the party of blatant hypocrisy.

That would be the left and those who call themselves democrats and liberals.

I think it's just hard for people to see through the distraction of left / right non sense.....

as George Carlin said the The reason they call it the American Dream is because you have to be asleep to believe it and by and large, language is a tool for concealing the truth.

and my favorite:
“One thing leads to another”? Not always. Sometimes one thing leads to the same thing. Ask an addict.
