For those who haven't been following this story, I started a thread on this subject when it first came to light.
First thread
Second thread

With a quick summery, on 10 May Agent Ivens disappeared. Leaving everything except his service pistol. He was reported as being distraught and possibly suicidal. He was said to have just walked off into the Verdugo Mountains. That is where the search ensued.

What came across as peculiar to me was the reasoning given. The investigators were reluctant to give any reasoning as to why he was upset.

Special Agent Stephen Ivens appeared to be distraught and may have been suicidal, FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said, citing interviews with family members and evidence collected by investigators. She declined to elaborate.
CNN

Now, about the latest substantial report I can find is around 15 May When his wife made a public plea.

His wife wrote: “Steve, if you are out there listening right now, your wife wants to let you know, `Babe, we are in this together for better or for worse. I love you, no matter what happens.’ Your child wants you to know, `Daddy’s work? Daddy home?’
CBS

If I remember correctly I did read an article dated 17 MAY, if I can find it I will post. Besides that I can't find anything. Nothing at all.

So this Federal Agent just up and disappears with his service pistol and investigators give no reason, they just claim he's suicidal? Now for almost a week no reports? So no major media outlet wants to cover a missing federal agent who supposedly just walked off into the mountains and we don't know why?

I honestly didn't think it would take this long to play out. I will say that it is possible that Agent Ivens may have committed suicide and they have not found the body yet, this is a possibility. To me something is wrong here. There is something about this story that just doesn't feel right. I had that feeling when the story broke, and still feel the same way now.

EDIT:Lets bring Steve home Facebook page

Yes very strange also a theory here i may add is he might of had his family threatened and decided to end it because of possible drug involvement ?

Fake his death perhaps for other purposes ?

I am only guessing here .

I agree, something is fishy with this whole story. It feels like a coverup to me.

First off, I highly doubt the FBI would ever put this story out if it were indeed a "distraught" agent. Feels like a manipulation and false flag for some sort of coverup.

My bet is his wife may of had an affair and he may of wanted to commit suicide a possability .

after all she is not going to disclose it in front of said officials or the likes

I concede that drug involvement is possible, especially since he was based in Los Angeles. But he reportedly worked in counter terrorism.
Ivens, who works on counterterrorism cases, was last seen by family Thursday night, a police statement said. His FBI-issued service revolver is also missing, Eimiller said.

Agreed. I said in at least a couple of other threads a week or two ago that it seems like he'll be made to be the fall guy for some kind of attack, since we've been warned about rogue, lone wolf attackers, possibly American citizens with an agenda. The fact that 100 FBI agents, dogs, and 50 cops could not find him and they gave up the search so quickly, saying he "went in another direction" and is long gone by now was weird. Add that to initial descriptions of the guy gone jogging with a weapon, an FBI agent who worked counterterrorism and now has his identity revealed, is suspect. Highly so.

Well if anything happens (read: false flag), we'll know who they'll pin it on! Seriously though, this fits the profile of the potential terrorist they've been shoving down our throats the last year.

I think the guy realized that Aliens have infiltrated our own race..I think he is running from the FBI and cops in general. I think he is still alive and will re-appear when he is ready to do so..The Telepathic Link may have turned on in him and it scarred him. The Aliens also have the ability to poison or drug humans with some kind of white powder or red smoke. These beings can jump in and out of any human..there is no way to contain or destroy them. The human being may not even realize this has happen to them. The beings cannot stay in the human body but for short amounts of time and then move to another human. I hope the guy is ok! I read somewhere about him making contact with Russian something in California before he took off..He told them something and then they chased him..he went home and then walked off.. As far as being so called Mental..Wrong! The guy is not Mental!! That is just a way to take his badge away!! Something else when he was trying to tell Russia what-ever..he had somekind of friend that use to work for the FBI that was involved in investigating 911..whom for some reason was arrested in the same time frame for some made up sex porn charges of some sort! Basically, there is somekind of trouble in the FBI and local Cops in that area and the poor man didnt know what else to do except run and hide. Off the Grid is where that poor man is at..if he does come back..they will try and put him in a Mental Hospital.. My best advise to him..set up a life in another state..he has not done anything illegal..Go to another state or country and then have youre wife and children move with you.

My computer went down after posting on this thread..If FBI is on here..dont worry..no one would believe me either..past US Customs and Border Patrol ID 194485 Class 626A..I was taken and attacked from a bridge in Charleston, West Virginia and put on another Bridge about 1 or 2 miles from where I was at. I was found walking around in shock. I had to return home. Local idiots finished my career off by beating me up and torture..I called my duty station begging for them to come and get me..No one ever came to my rescue. Life goes on! I hope the Agent is OK and returns!

Wow Apollo, you just reached way into the hypothetical bag. I was hoping for the mundane conspiracy explanation, and you pulled out the big guns right off the bat. Spared no expense.

I still maintain that something is amiss here. Whether it's the explanation Apollo has given, or something else. There was an urgent search for this agent in the beginning, and now nobody seems to want to touch the story. Very odd indeed.

I hope he is safe, and the truth comes out .

I highly doubt we will ever know the real truth behind it all. A few may , but the rest will be given some concocted story .

I'm not questioning the methods they are using, just the real story behind the disappearance, as well as the story we will get about the outcome of it all.

So I'm taking it that they are giving up on the search. So after two weeks you all but give up on a search for a federal agent? Every part of this story is strange to me. A FBI agent is missing and there is very little media coverage on this? Something just doesn't seem right. As I've said before, maybe they really don't know why he up and left. Then the cynical part of me says"highly unlikely."
