The Israelis and Palestinians are continuing to clash in the Gaza strip, especially in and around the Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza. Unmanned
aircraft have fired on Palestinians preparing to fire rockets, and anti-tank missiles have been fired at IDF forces.

Two IDF soldiers were wounded Friday evening when Palestinians detonated a bomb near their armored vehicle operating in the Jabalya refugee camp in
northern Gaza.
The soldiers, one of whom sustained moderate-to-light wounds and the other who was lightly wounded, were airlifted to the Soroka Hospital in
Beersheba.
Also on Friday evening, troops operating in the camp fired at a group of Palestinian gunmen who were preparing to launch anti-tank rockets, and an IAF
unmanned plane fired missiles at a group of Palestinians preparing to launch a Kassam rocket from the northern Gaza Strip village of Tel el-Zaatar.
This latest IDF action beings to 42 the number of Palestinians killed in clashes with the IDF since Wednesday night.
Two Kassam rockets landed in Sderot on Friday afternoon just before 3 p.m. According to Magen David Adom there are no casualties at the scene. One
rocket landed in the city and the second in an open area nearby.
Three mortal shells landed on Friday in the Gush Katif settlement bloc in southern Gaza Strip. A house in one of the communities was damaged.
Meanwhile, IDF troops fired two tank shells and aircraft missiles early Friday evening at Gaza's Jebalya refugee camp, killing at least one gunmen
and wounding several others, one seriously, Palestinian hospital officials and witnesses said.

The motivation for this offensive at this time is unknown, but likely is related to the deaths of two clidren from Qassam rockets. It is clear however
that Israel is not taking this lightly. The escalation will no doubt put a damper on whatever may be left of the peace process.
