perhaps only from my perspective, but it seems like magic is really restrained.
why do you think that is?

it feels like there's something blocking the flow or a connection/link is missing..has the really powerful magic been forgotten, is it a lost art now?

im talking about the magic that lets you fly, control the elements, teleport, shapeshift, ressurect the dead, etc.

what happened to it?

or am i just crazy and it never existed in the first place?
i mean there must be a reason why theres so much magic in fantasy..is magic just a made-up concept or was magic real then put into fantasy books by TPTB so that we would think it wasnt real? CONSPIRACY!

no but seriously, i am completely stumped

Real magic is more subtle than that. It has more to do with controlling potentialities through anticipation and perception than it does with controlling electromagnetism. I think a lot of the stories about people gaining and using super powers were exaggerations designed to get foolish people off the track.

What do you want in life? Anything you want, magic can help you get. The trick, however, is that you have to be able to recognize it when you get it. And by the time you get it, you may not want it anymore.

The problem isn't with the magic. It's with your own expectations.

Knot in the top of spine (occipital ridge) is residue from 4th density Lizards stripping Humans of first 10 factors of DNA. Humans once had 135 chromosome pairs. Now only 23.

Our abilities are limited to our condition.

Nope, it's not a made-up concept at all.
You just have to study real hard, and ask for a little help, if you know what I mean.

Well - if it were that easy everybody would be doing it.

Ok - ponder something with me for a moment.
Think of the people you know. People you know well, people who are acquaintances, people you like, people you don't like. Now think of the people you run into during the course of the day - the people at the grocery store, the people at wal-mart, etc. The seething mass of humanity around us...

Now ask yourself - what would happen if that lady you saw at stop-n-go buying a 12 pack of shlitz and a carton of winstons while yelling at her 8 kids got the power to fly, control the elements, teleport, shapeshift, and ressurect the dead?

Nothing good would happen..

If there is a throttle of sorts on it - maybe its for our own good.

Also, a lot of the 'magic' in fantasy is actually super advanced technology we had tens of thousands of years ago.

Magic is not restrained.. magic would involve anything in the R=0 universe, which is infinite.. It is currently limited because of our lack of advancement in science.. the more we understand about the universe (R=0), the more we will understand about magic, and the paranormal.

Magic isn't limited. Only faith can be.

Channelled material. Lots of it but all must be read with critical eye.

The best by far is Cassiopaean material

I have to agree with Frogs, it is for the good of all that these "powers" are limited if any have survived at all. Even some with the best intentions could cause great harm without proper training. People with access to such gifts most often reach a place in life where the realities of balance leave them with no desire to use the. Speculation entirely, yet best of luck on your quest.

Everything is magic.
Nothing is real.

We get into trouble when we think we fully understand anything.

When you speak of magic you are implying that things can be done that break the laws of the universe. That can't happen. Sorry.
