just when watching the sky became boring...

i had just got home from work and went out back to have a cigarette; i was facing east towards nasa ( i live on the west coast of florida ) i was not looking at the sky when all of the sudden my attention is drawn to the sky by what at first seemed to be an airplane coming directly at me then at second thought i realize the light is reddish and not yellowish white a few moments later i realize that it is not an airplane but seems to now look more like a streaking meteorite in a dark red-orange streak moving at the rate that most would compare to a commercial airplane high in the sky....(wait way to slow to be a meteorite) it is heading in a mostly western direction when it then abruptly stops all movement then fades to total darkness only to reappear a second or so later at a much dimmer level of brightness and indiscernable color.and now it is slowly creeping north. i have watched the night sky for many mosquito bitten hours in my life and i have never seen anything similar to what i have seen tonight well morning it took place at 3:40-3:45 am. has anyone experienced something similar??

yeah, no kidding. growing up here is what piqued my interest in space and the like to begin with.
i'm glad i got to see all those night launches in the past though, they way that thing would just light everything up like it was daytime... priceless, just priceless.

i watched the shuttle that carried the chandra x-ray observatory up with my telescope all the way up...well once above the treeline that is certainly is something ill remember .

Far from it. My research shows that a study of rocket-caused anomaly reports by intelligent observers can help us try to 'track back' other reports of a similar nature to any potential prosaic explanations, if there are any.

Thank you for the fast posting and the careful description. And you made those of us who missed it, envious.

Lower intelligence, and lower levels of creativity to self-engage = Higher Boredom.

Anyone claiming boredom about anything is basically saying they're too stupid to find engagement in whatever material it is they're working with.

There are exceptions, but, for the most part, boring/boredom = low intelligence.

Edit: Oh, and regarding what you saw, as stated a few times above, it was the Space X vehicle. I'm sure there's a thread about it, or, you can check most any of the News sites online to confirm.

Make a report with MUFON...it is important so they can keep up with this type of issue...Something woke me up around that time. I didnt see any UFO'S but something is brewing here in NC.

How do I report a sighting on MUFON? I Just saw a UFO. I have a video of it too. I'm on the MUFON site right now but don't see how to do a report?

I said boredom is indicative of lower intelligence.
Look it up in the DSM IV.
Educate your own self.

Make whatever connections you want, but the FYI does not come from ignorance. Your response, however does, since my statement was aimed more at the OP wording regarding the sky being 'boring' when it is anything but.

Consider it a PSA to save the OP, and anyone reading, the embarrassment of unwittingly humiliating themselves in public by making statements about being 'bored', or finding something 'boring'.

I was being nice, but, it would seem some are of the mind that a PSA is an attack.
I recommend switching to decaf, or growing thicker skins.
Such is such though.
