Now you know why certain folks are violently against requiring ID cards to vote.

Christ you people are idiots.

Yes, dead dudes registered to vote..
The issue here is many countys just keep registered people on the books until they move...register once, and vote always.
When you die, there is nothing to flag the account to remove the registration.
Read the article if you cannot understand this concept...its the first step in voter fraud..not voter fraud itself..aka, it is a open door one could start working on...but its not someone actively going around registering people to vote...its countys doing a crap job at maintenance.

Breitbart...got to love their panic "news" integrity

So in other words this is not a real issue. Nice post.

The issue here is technical, not conspiratorial.
what is needed is for a automatic wipe of voting based on death certificates..this is offices not talking, not the undead registering.

Well, someone decided to purge them. The effort has backfired:

Here

The Department of Justice announced today that it has filed a lawsuit against the state of Florida and the Florida Secretary of State in his official capacity alleging that the state has violated its obligations under Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA).

The complaint, filed today in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, alleges that Florida has violated the NVRA by conducting a systematic program to purge voters from its voter registration rolls within the 90-day quiet period before an election for federal office established by the law. In addition, the complaint alleges that Florida’s use of inaccurate and unreliable voter verification procedures violates the requirement in Section 8 of the NVRA that any such program be uniform and nondiscriminatory.

Yes, that would be a great investigation.

Allow the Florida election to proceed.

After Romney wins use the Freedom of Information Act to find out exactly how many

- dead - people voted. Then act surprised when 99% of the dead people turn out to be

democrats.

The dead who are registered were living voters once upon a time (within the past few years) and they simply died, but nobody thought to notify the Election Board. After all, lots of old people retire to Florida. Or the Election Board was notified but made it difficult to remove the name from the voting rolls (in Maryland, my father-in-law, dead for more than a dozen years, still gets mailings because his name is still on the list -- I phoned the Election Board about it but they wanted me to work up all sorts of documents and get them notarized. Screw 'em.). Usually a simple rule that if they don't show up at the polls for three or four elections in a row gets them struck off the rolls would cure that. Maybe also a rule allowing the country election board to scan the obits in the local newspaper to find names to x out.

The mere fact that people die in Florida and their names aren't immediately taken off the voting rolls is not proof that election fraud is rampant.

As for the suggestion that non-citizens, many of whom are terrified of being caught and deported, would gratuitously call attention to themselves by registering to vote and then showing up to vote, the idea is a bit ridiculous. But, if it makes the State any less worried, have federal ICE agents waiting at the polls for these non-citizens to put in an appearance and they can make an arrest; then we'll have useful numbers.

This is a repeat of the widespread election scam that the Republicans ran in Florida in 2000.

doubt that ... it is probably because the state is too stupid to cross reference the SSI deaths and obits...

Oh, I know, those who died were suppose to go to the elections office and ask for their name to be taken off the voting list per state code!

It is just proof that they neglect it all year long and then decide to use it for political fodder.

Work up all sorts of documents and get them notarized = Make it hard for them.

In this day and age it should be easy.

Scan the obituaries. How hard could it be? 1 person could do it.
