With Pakistani President Zardari given a last-minute invitation to the NATO summit, U.S. and Pakistani officials were scrambling to finish a deal that would allow NATO supply convoys to pass through Pakistani territory on their way to Afghanistan. The convoys have been halted since last November's errant cross-border U.S. airstrikes that left 24 Pakistani soldiers dead.

Looks like the Pakis are opening the supply routes and President Zardari sold out his country aginast the will of his people. No wonder the Pakis hate him. His own countrymen were killed by drones and he opens up routes what a pushover.

The will of his people is as relevent to him as the will of americans is to its politicos.
From my understanding of the story this guy cut a deal with nato after getting his invite to the round table.
You gotta pay to play and this was his price.
