I'd like to start the thread with Heino:

Any kind of German music is welcome, form traditional Alpine dances to punk rock.
I'd prefer a party theme, rather than anything political, although I wouldn't say don't post this or that genre of music.

Do you have a favorite German song or style of music?
Please post it!

Rammstein, up there, kicks butt.

And, even though they sing in English, any Alphaville would do.

And liked this one. Really did!

Rammstein is my favorite band, but I figure enough people will be posting that. Here are some others that I like too

If you can't dance to that you're dead.

If you prefer something lighter:

I don't.
Always need a waltz:

Many great composers were born in Germany. There are to many good ones to put here so I'll just pick one of my favourites.

Bankerltanz - a dance with benches.
A great version of a traditional male dance from Tirol.

Now here's something we can all try at home!
Joke, no, please don't.
This one is not for amateurs.

Another one that was huge. Well, for most of us back in the 90's. I'll stick with the dance tunes

Always interesting to see dances from the German diaspora, especially the "Ameri-dancers":

Here is a "Watsch'n" dance from Canada:

One of the indigenous homelands of the Schuplattler dance - Tirol.

An attempt at the largest dance as a World Record.
Not sure this was a World Record, but it was definitely fun, as always:
