he Netherlands adopted crucial legislation to safeguard an open and secure internet. It is the first country in Europe to implement net neutrality into its national law. In addition, it adopted provisions protecting users against disconnection and wiretapping by providers. Digital rights movement Bits of Freedom calls on other countries to follow the Dutch example.

Amazing how some countries work towards and understand the need for net neutrality whilst some countries like India, USA, Australia and UK enforce laws to censor internet. I love Netherlands in so many ways... I just wish I had the means to become a citizen there.

That's only because it is still legal to download
copyrighted material. It;s not legal to upload the
same data (torrents). So in order to restrain the
dataflow 'they*' won a court case where providers
must block TPB. Not a big deal, the same providers
have no problems with proxies to TPB. And to
be honest, there are plenty more sources


* they = The entertainment industry's whores.

I do am proud of beeing dutch but as most time's every country has his up's and his down's i just hope we will stay in a neutral position i am afraid that is not going to happend though.
