Not since 1999 has a Nato Summit occurred on a sunday!

After reading a few threads about the coincidences and strange planned events for today (may 20th) I decided -on a hunch- to see why they chose a SUNDAY to start the conference, and when that last happened.

The answer? The Nato summit of 1999 ENDED on a sunday, and that was the only time between then and now that any summits have taken place on a sunday. I didn't look any further back, because I was actually quite surprised.

Got this information from wikipedia - Nato Summit.

I know this may just be a subtle coincidence or oddity among strange events but come on guys.... government stuff going on on a SUNDAY??

ETA: I went ahead and looked all the way back to the beginning which was 1957, and nothing. Only 2012, and 1999 - both US hosted summits. The US also hosted in 1978 but it took place during a normal part of the week.

1999 summit occurred in DC.

Also: Is it not unusual that the President has nothing on his agenda past this weekend? Whitehouse.gov

Surprised no one mentions this, but:

"Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death." - Ezekiel 35:2

Now, I know that in the Christian faith this law is unobserved and yet others believe the Sabbath to fall on different days, etc.

But, in Judaism, Sunday is the Sabbath. The holy day. Think Israel will be a topic at NATO? What with all this Iran fussing and such...
