Halo and Object near High Noon Sun

Today I was driving home and had the strong urge to look towards the Sun. Around it was a halo and the interior of the halo was unusually dark for such from my past views of them. When I got home I got out and took these pictures in the front yard of my home.

I DID NOT see the object when I was taking the pictures and it wasn't until I looked at them on the computer that I saw it. The Other pictures do not show anything else, but could load if requested. It is a Samsung digital camera.

It was really around 1:00, not noon,,, I went over to my neighbors to get them to look at it so I do have them as witness nothing was visually seen, so

When I made a negative of the pic, it looked like a solid object to me.
At first I thought maybe it was Venus or Jupiter somehow peeking through in the day of the halo,, but when I saw how fast it moved,, because the pictures were taken back to back within seconds if not just a minute.

Ideas, thoughts.

Sorry,, but if you right click it and open in another window/tab you will see it I believe. Will try to do a thumbnail to see if it looks better here.

Also,, you could use the scroll bar at the bottom of the picture to resize it

You don't see the Light ball the upper left of the Sun? In the first image

the second image it is closer to the sun.

Does Lens Flare show up like a solid object when viewed in Negative?

If so,, maybe your correct,, but it looked like a solid object when viewed in negative to me,, IMHO..
Granted, I thought that too,, and can actually see some lens flare in some of these pictures,, but the bright light object ,,, I am not sure.,,, but again, agree you may be right.

I had to adjust my monitor to see it.
Yes, it's an internal reflection, sometimes called lens flare.

Yes I see it but I had to tilt my laptop screen to see it. My guess, and it's been one that has been seen probably a hundred different times on ATS, is that it is an illusion by the light reflecting back directly into the camera. I'm no expert but just going off of experience that I've seen on this site. There was a thread created just last week that took a photo of the sun and got the same thing.

Next time you take a picture of the sun also take one with your finger just over the sun. The 2nd object will likely disappear.

I've got a nice Nikon camera...I should try and take a photo of the sun sometime.

I wasn't lookiing to see an object when I took this picture,, so it very well may have been 'lens flare'.
The reason I took the picture, and it did not show up as I saw it, was how dark the inner part of the halo was , which I think was due to it being exactly overhead center sky. It was strange just with that alone, but when I saw the ball of light I thought it was one of the planets peeking through,,, not a UFO or anything,

So,, Lens Flare, OK.

but one cool Halo
