I'm on neither side of this, as it really has little to do with me to be quite honest. Would just like to point out that this does not confirm its authentic. If a test comes up negative, all it means is that the test is negative. Don't stretch it further then it is. As far as digital character recognition goes, all this really proves is that if it is a forgery, it's a good one. With something this huge, I wouldn't expect it to be provable by these means even if it were a forgery

You can pay off corporate powers with public money and then point you

Wow! This really angers me because I really hate having to jump through hoops. Hawaii is really looking like anal bureaucrats here. So they are tired of all the requests? There shouldn't be more than 50 states with authorities who have the responsibility to insure the candidates for the POTUS are eligible for the job and it sounds like AZ may be the only state asking. Sorry, to put you out Hawaii, but that's your job.

Really he should ask for ALL the candidates to send a certified copy of their BC All states should be doing that anyway. Is that such a big deal??? Not unless you are hiding something.

What kills me reading this entire thread is that people are sticking up for the man in charge as if he's doing a great job or something and that they'd vote for him again. WTF!?!?!? I didn't vote for him last time because of reasons other than birther issues and I won't vote for him next time just because I think he's done a terrible job. I don't know what country these backers are living in. There either delusional or ATS has a ton of 1%ers on here posting because they love the way he has kept money in their pockets.

After thinking about it, I say Arizona is acting kind of stupid. Why is it their job to prove Oboma's bc is real. They look stupid going begging to another state.

If they have question about it, they should be asking Oboma. Oboma's choices are, show the bc, and get on the ballot. Show the bc, and go to prison. Or don't show the bc, and don't get on the ballot.

My guess is he'll fight Arizona in court to get on the ballot without showing his bc, and if he loses he'll run as a write in.

My guess is the bc is fake. Why else would he spend money not to have to show it.

Finally, my personal take is that people will believe what they want most to believe. I also think that, given the bitter fight for the Presidency between democratic candidates, and then between Obama and McCain, if it had been true that Obama was constitutionally ineligible to run, he would not be sitting in the White House, he would have been effectively eliminated from running back when Hillary Clinton was neck and neck with him, or even before. That is only my opinion, of course. Everyone is free to have their own.

There's a lot of froth in this thread, I'll try not to add more with a couple of small points.

One, the surplus of umptyleben gazillion dollars that the government had in April. They ALWAYS have a surplus in April, that's when the tax payments come in. An April surplus is expected and meaningless.

Two, why does Arizona need to know about the birth certificate?

B. Any elector may challenge a candidate for any reason relating to qualifications for the office sought as prescribed by law, including age, residency or professional requirements, if applicable.

Arizona Statutes 16-351. AZ Statutes
(Elector means voter) These challenges are to be resolved in court. Certainly, citizenship is a qualification prescribed by law. If Hawaii doesn't even want to send one e-mail to Arizona, I would think any Arizona judge would be strongly tempted to rule Obama ineligible.

See, this is what I find so funny. Obama IS eligible to be president. I even believe that he WAS born in one of the 50 union states which WOULD make him a "Natural Bron Citizen and NOT a "U.S." citizen like John McCain who IS ineligible to hold or run for the office of president.

THE REAL truth is that Obama DOES NOT want anyone to know WHO his REAL father IS on the BC. We know his mother is Stanley Ann Dunham....but who is his real father? WHY are all his scholastic records SEALED? What did he do his college thesis ON? Was it his real father? and if the American public KNEW that and that Obama is a member of the communist/socialist party, would they still want him in office?

There was a thread on ATS a while back that was well documented which provided real hard evidence that his real and true father is in fact Malcolm X. Stanley Ann's flight schedule, college schedule, hotel reciepts and the like were gathered and they put her in the same place as Malcolm X when he was speaking in San Fransisco? Did they get together, as Stanley Ann is a known member of the communist/socialist party too. And why did she move out of Seattle, which back then frowned upon interracial anything?

I think THAT is the bigger picture.

I remember this from the GA eligibility case that if the judge would have sided in favor of the plaintiff his findings would be given to the Secretary of State to make the final call to have him removed from the ballot. The judge doesn't have authority to remove someone who is ineligible, that is the job of the SOS to enforce the judge's decision. I know it is that way in GA and imagine it could be true in most other states, too.

If I was Bennett I would be quite tempted to tell Hawaii to do their own research on the law that gives him the authority to determine eligibility or check his government webpage and read that it is his responsibility.

We have a problem with the vetting in this country. It should be done by the candidate's political party when they announce their nomination and the findings should be given to the SOS (or whoever determines eligibility) in every state. Certified birth certificates should be a requirement. The GOP's and Dems have been relying on the media to vet the candidates.

The GA eligibility case will be heard by the SCOTUS some day and hopefully they will use the opportunity to clarify the definition of natural born citizen.
