made me smile

I feel Mr Smith showed restraint and got his point across. No harm done to the stranger who obviously either does not not know proper behavior ala showing respect and/or admiration to an American Male or, was deliberately trying to provoke a scene.

regardless of pop status,, well played sir!

That was a lot politer response then he would of got from me. Nothing to do with homophobia I have gay friends and a gay aunt, I don't think any of them would find it inappropriate either. Hug be okay maybe, kiss on the cheek I'll let that slide once, but when I'm obviously not comfortable with the situation and you move in for the glory shot, I would sock you in the jaw. If that guy did that to a female actress and she slapped him whould that be okay? Its sexual assault either way. 3 feet, that's my bubble stay out!

it is not his job to retaliate especially not at a premiere .

No man has the right to go up to another man and kiss him on the mouth.

Will Smith should have slapped him much harder.

Have to say I agree with you. As I wrote under the video: "The push was a natural, appropriate reaction. The backhanded slap was saying "Dude, man up! - CUZ I'M ONE!" Did the 'guy' want to be treated like the woman he believes he is and have Will kiss and´╗┐ squeeze him? Will's married, he's American, and he's straight - not a single, Russian gay. Sexual preference doesn't give anyone a ticket to force themself on another. And men shouldn't have to kiss gay men back simply because they're gay. I think some gays need to learn respect for non-gays."

Beyond tolerance, whether it be religious or sexual, one thing goes beyond that - acceptance. That does not mean everyone has to change to accommodate other's preference. Acceptance goes both ways, including respect. The guy wasn't being respectful.

Not a big Will Smith fan, but this makes me feel better about him. Some guy tries an kiss me he'd of got more then a little shove and a light slap. Where do people get the idea that just because someones famous that the stars have no right to their space? I give a big
to Will Smith.

Hahahah!

I love the way most other people would probably be really unsettled after that, but he's just stood there, his usual self, smiling and "It's all good."

Brilliant!

He comes from a generation where it just isn't classy for guys to kiss each other, that's all, He's just like "man, what are you doing, are you crazy?" I think it was all done in jest.
