A British man was arrested today with a suitcase full of dead babies thought to have been used in a black magic rituals in Thailand.

'The bodies are of children between the ages of two and seven months. Some were found covered in gold leaf,' Wiwat Kumchumnan, sub-division chief of the police's Children and Women Protection unit, said.

It was not clear where the bodies came from.

Police said the corpses had a number of religious threads and tattoos on them.

In Thailand there is a grisly ritual known as 'Kuman Thong', where dead babies are surgically removed from their mother's womb and undergo a ceremonial ritual.

But instead of burying them, they are roasted dry and covered with a lacquer before being painted with gold leaf.

Daily Mail

The foetuses had been surgically removed from the womb and undergone a ceremonial ritual, roasted dry and painted with gold leaf.

It is thought he was trying to smuggle the corpses into Taiwan.

And the more messed up thing is, for this he only gets

"Kuen faces one year in prison and a 2,000 baht fine (£40) if he is found guilty"

This is incredibly disturbing, i wonder how long it is before the foreign office dispatches someone to rescue "Our man in thailand", conjecture aside, I do not have the words to express how deeply sickened i am to hear of this.

Although for some reason it is in the "Gray Area?" No wonder you didn't see it, but it was first.

I can say that this fits right with the depravity of things happening all over the world.
How sick does one have to be to do these acts? Did they jump the line in the 'I am sane group?'
Lost a daughter due to a drunk driver and realize the inner beauty of a child is the most precious thing to appreciate.
These sickos deserve to reincarnate as slugs.
Peace!

Religious folks?

If a reader of this thread is pro-choice, well no rights being upset. These weren't "humans" yet

Otherwise, yeah, what an odd practice. I wonder what started this ritual, I mean what caused them to cut open their women and take out the fetuses in the first place. Was it a god? Like a god that tells us to hate on others for their choices...

I guess we don't kill the others for their choices....oh wait....

Well we don't paint them in gold leaf!
