Something very unnerving & strange happened last night. Please read!!!

On May 17th in eastern Tulsa, Oklahoma, there was a power outage affecting four or five square miles. PSO (the electricity provider here) said they didn't know why the power went out. This happened around noon that day and lasted an hour or two. Now, the military is active in the area several miles northwest of the area and there's a huge casino in that part of eastern Tulsa. Personally, I think it was the casino pulling out a lot of power for some performance they had going on, but your post did raise a few questions. That night I was with a few friends and around ten o'clock we noticed a very low-pitch hum of some sort, probably around 25-30 Hz. It lasted for about an hour and suddenly stopped. We haven't had any battle-like sounds or unusual helicopters flying around (sometimes we get the strange, extremely low-flying unlabeled pitch-black ones).

As for the explosions, maybe Voldemort has returned and someone was fighting him...

It was a smart phone and yeah the water was running okay.

I have never heard a smart phone or any other type of cellular phone give a tripple busie tone, if the cell towers are down you wouldn't have been able to dial out ( I.e. you would of had no signal), if the lines where busy, it would have been a message saying the lines where busy try your call again at a later time.

S & F OP, and a very intruiging account of your experience, I am interested to read any updates you might have.

As for all the readers picking at the Op's story such as 'anti weapon gunfire? ' it's semantics! give the guy a break! he has shared his experience and I don't think I am alone in my belief that he has given us a true account of that experience. So maybe the term he was meaning was anti aircraft gunfire? What does it really matter? We got the account of what happened in his own words. And it's the account that matters most, not the terminology.

I hope that something comes to light as to a reason or cause, but as it goes with strange sounds and lights we rarely get a defining answer as to ' what happened '

Actually Verizon will do this from time to time...basically it means your phone could not connect to the nearest tower. Will be basically a fast busy signal...normally if you try your call immediately after it will connect.

I vote for transformer going out...they can go off for a while. Power companies have a good number of helicopters to use for surveying lines...if the nearest cell tower was an independently owned one its very likely several companies have transmitters on it and a power outage to a site without proper backups could knock out multiple carriers in an area. If this is a rural area most likely the cell tower only had backup power for 15-30 minutes which is more common than you might imagine.

My auntie lived next to an Airbase in Warrington Uk that was run by the US air force called Burton Wood and it was around the time when they had Nuclear weapons stored there,and trouble with Saddam Husein first kicked off.
Many a night helicopters would be flying around and you would always see lights in the sky, they were doing maneuvers all the time especially on a weekend.
Now i lived some 12 miles or so away from my Aunties house and one night particular, me and my friend were standing outside my house talking when we saw these strange lights in the distance in the direction to where the base was.
We thought at first they must have been helicopters, until they started to act in a strange manner.
I went into the house and asked my dad to come and see and for him to explain what it was.
He also said it was helicopters,we where just about to go in, when theses 5 lights in a formation moved in the night sky from left to right at a speed that no helicopter could go.
Now we are looking at this from some distance but these so called helicopters moved in the skyline an arms distance in seconds.
Then they did the strangest thing. They stacked up one above the other and just like that video on u tube where the ball of light comes down over Jerusalem and fly's off . That's what these did one by one they shot upwards into the sky. They were not as bright as the Jerusalem one but same effect.
That was some years ago and my point is, we might never know what the government have or know and what they are up to when we sleep.
Does anyone here know of any person who was stationed on that base at this time?Oh my father said i don't know what that was but lets get the frig inside.

Very interesting. I'd be papping my pants thats for sure. S+F (if someone could tell me how to do the flag anyway ). Definitely going to keep on eye on this bad boy.

As for the anti-weapon gunfire, being ex military myself there are so many things this could mean, we had two types of automatic anti weapon systems on our ships in the RN, goalkeeper and phalanx, Im sure there would be some sort of land based counterpart. Although you wouldn't strictly call them anti weapon systems but Im sure we can forgive him considering the episode he went through!! Also pretty much any missile can be used as anti weapon, surface to air missiles can take out planes and the missiles they've fired if they are accurate enough. More to the point as already mentioned he could simply have meant anti aircraft fire.

Interesting story, but can you please clarify something?

I live in East Central, MS by the way.

I tried to do a search for any news or online chatter about what you described. But if Google Maps is any indicator, it seems that there is no such town as East Central, Mississippi. There are schools that use that name, but they're scattered across the state.

Can you clarify the region, or provide links to local news reports on what you experienced? You said that other people were seeing and reacting to this. I would imagine that there would be 911 calls once phone service was restored.

Since you mentioned being in MS, I would be watching for activity around the New Madrid area. Flashing light, unusual noises, and your dog acting unusually, could be signs of tectonic activity. From what i've read here, transformer blow-outs are a large flash and power goes out, not noises and flashes going on for 40 minutes.
Contrary to what some members say, I think activity for New Madrid is pending.

On Friday morning, I found that my router had been dos smurfed and remotely accessed. This was around 10:00AM. When I was checking the logs, I couldn't help but hear heavy air traffic in my area. It became so bad that I went to look outside, it was a small propeller plane. I go back inside to do some more work on my wireless network and report the breach of my ip to the cable company. A couple hours go by. All the while, there was constant traffic in the skies above my house. Amazed, I go outside to check some more on what was going on. This time, it took me a while to see what I was hearing. It was like the sound was right above me in plain view but I could not see anything. There was a slight haze in the air like of the kind when they spray chemtrials, but nothing obvious. A person who doesn't know about chemtrials most likely would not notice this layer in the air. At this point I was focusing really hard to see what I was hearing. The sound was right above me and I still could not 'see' it. Just about when I was really thinking it was wierd, I saw the helicopter. But now that I am recalling it, I don't remember at what position in the sky relative to my house that it first entered my sight. It was black with yellow stripes and had some word or letters/numbers on the tail (I couldn't see it clear enough).

I stood outside for about 15 minutes watching them circle the entire west side of town, always eventually making rounds near my house. They were flying pretty low, equivalent to probably about 15 stories high give or take. They may have noticed me looking at them, they flew right over me and did a turn-hover maneuver that took longer than usual to complete and I got the feeling that they could see me looking at them. They proceeded to circle the area until 8:00PM and did a fly by when it was dark. Soon after they were gone. I live in Santa Monica, Ca. As there is an overwhelmingly amount of what appears to be significant events going on all over the world, please let me report mine. I am also wanting to know who attacked my ip.

Like many others... The first things that popped into my mind were a severe thunderstorm, a downed transformer, or tectonic activity.

I've experience thunderstorms that I didn't understand... We're talking booms that sound like stacatto gunfire, rapid flashes of light, intense static electricity, cell phone interferance, and all without being able to find a single thunder cloud in the sky. The couple of times I've experience these storms however, the air was extremely warm and muggy and they both happened in the middle of summer as opposed to spring.

I've seen/heard transformers that make a strobe effect and loud popping noises when they blow, but it NEVER lasted much longer than 10 minutes or so (I lived in Seaside, Oregon where exploding transformers were extremely common because of the wind).

I've read reports of the craziest things happening during tectonic activity... Such as abrupt weather changes, dropped satellite communications, and ball lightning.



After reading your follow up posts... None of these seem to fully explain what you are describing. Your post seems very genuine to me (so if you're pulling our leg, you're doing a great job of it, lol). No outlandish claims or anything... Just an event that seems very plausible and a guy that seems to be looking for an explanation.

I'm pretty interested in seeing if you find any answers to this. As has been previously asked, would you mind giving us a more exact location? I assume I (or others) will be able to eventually dig up some other accounts of this event.

I do want to say that I have read several of your other posts and you always seem to give informed, skeptical opinions which I have always appreciated in the past. It makes this seem very legitimate, to me at least.

It is reeeeally early and I need my coffee, but OP, I will tell you I heard a similar story from an elderly man who lived in Great Falls MT. He described something similar to your story and told my husband that he believes UFO's have landed up here in different places. I've never seen one myself, but who am I to discount an old man's tale?

Oh and by the way, we have a solar eclipse coming up tomorrow, so I would not be surprised at all if there was an increase in experiences or sightings in the next 48 hours or so.

Several years ago I was up late on the computer and the power went out and there was initial booms then what sounded like rapid gun fire. I thought it was WWIII. I literally grabbed a rifle and went out to check it out. Turns out a tree blew over behind my house and hit a power pole with a transformer on it. The line was down and broke and flopping around the street crackling and flashing this was the gun fire sound. It easily took them 30-40 minutes to get there and get it stopped'

Someone could have hit a pole near you the choppers could have been news copters the power could have been out to the cell tower explaining the no service. What's odd though in your case is the power company claiming the cause is unknown if it was something like this.

Hmmm, Funny how your phone did not work, you had no power, but yet it still had a working clock? And wheres the cell phone? You could have called from that? Sorry not buying this, seems a little expired!

Very strange the things that jog your memory, reading your reply has done that to me. I live about 10min out of town & nearest neighbour is about 500 meters away so sky is easily viewed in any direction for a fair way off.
It was about a week ago, somewhere mid-morning I was hanging out the washing. I heard what I thought was a very low flying plane ( this plane sounded like a really old plane, dont ask me how I know what old planes sound like. Im going of movies here ) So as you do, I was looking for it !!! Stuffed if I could see any plane, even walked around our acre trying to work it out. Thought mmmm strange for a few moments & have not given it a second thought till now.
Im not saying it is imposable from an old loud plane to fly around in the sky or that it was imposable for me to have not seen it. But now thinking IMO highly unlikely
This is not in anyway as strange or weird as op or yours or other stories, probably really just thinking out loud
